All of the workshops that I offer are Interconnected

This is a very important fact that merits some explanation. Over the course of my studies I have come to realize that subjects like Astrology, Numerology, Tarot, Birth Order etcetera share links that at first glance, from a purely linear point of view, should not necessarily be there. For example, when a person tells me their birth date, it offers clues about which signs or planets are prominent in their birth chart. Adding to this example, a person born on the 9th day of the month will have Virgo strong in their chart. Or if the day is the 22nd of the month, I know with confidence after years of practice that the planet Uranus will be prominent. Another example is that knowing where a person is born in the family in terms of Birth Order also offers clues as to which signs or plants will be prominent in their birth chart. A first born daughter born into a relatively standard family situation where both mother and father are present, at least in her first 6 years, will have the signs Capricorn and/or Leo strongly configured. This is true for a first born daughter, whether or not these signs are your Sun Sign; a deeper look at your chart will reveal this to be so. These and other such examples can be proven and serve to support the holistic nature of reality in general and the holistic nature of these subjects in particular. So, by attending any one of these workshops you are getting background to and creating a foundation for any one of the other workshops.

The Art of Living workshop holds a central position in the Mandala because all of these workshops are designed to do much more than provide a working knowledge of these disciplines. While a working knowledge of each subject is the initial goal, the greater goal is to demonstrate how these subjects are tools supporting awareness of how to live life more artfully. Living this way implies living with greater awareness and Attunement to life. Life as a whole is conscious and we can learn to be more conscious of this fact. Living more consciously implies living more cooperatively with life. Much of the current reality of our world is troubled in part due to the fact that we allow our lower natures to convince us that we are merely material beings living a purely material life. While material reality is certainly a measurable and enjoyable part of life, we and life itself are ultimately spiritual. Appreciation of this fact supports living life more consciously and lovingly. The alternative is to live life according to how big business and marketing want us to live - materialistically - and at the expense of our spiritual nature, not to mention the ecology. This reduction of our spiritual nature will continue unless we wake-up and learn to live life more consciously, artfully and from the heart.

The Art of Living workshop shares the title with Awakening to the Heart because learning to live in, through and from the heart is the basis of the art of life. Although the courses offered do include and require an intellectual approach, their greater implication is spiritual and rhythmic. I could also say that they are tools to live more in tune with our inner and outer nature, both of which are spiritual.

Even though I could teach Astrology specifically and with the many levels that it requires and merits, and I do intend to do that as well eventually, I have chosen to offer shorter workshops ranging from half a day to two days in length (aside from the Retreats which will be from five to seven consecutive days). I have chosen this approach so that anyone can attend a workshop and benefit from the knowledge and experiential learning it offers and not solely people who might be more interested from a professional point of view. In other words, these workshops awaken and stimulate awareness of self and life as a spiritual reality for anyone and everyone. By taking any one of these workshops or, better yet, all of them over the course of time, students will gain practical knowledge, illuminations and epiphanies about themselves and life. You will gain these awakenings and realizations by applying the knowledge for yourself, family and friends and realizing for yourself that subjects like Astrology and Numerology etcetera magically reflect the magic that is life.
