Summer 2008 is in full swing.

Leo as a Fixed Sign represents the hub of the wheel for the summer season. In other words, it can be considered the high point, the deepest consentration of the season. A lot is happenning in the world and in the stars. The Olumpics in China is gaining the world's attention. I will share more with you about this and other updates so please read on....

My intention is to follow and guide you along with the the lunar cycle, sending a Newsletter to you at each New Moon.

Part of the goal is to remind you of the importance of working with the lunar cycle, especially beginning with the New Moon. This implies setting clearer intentions in-tune with natural rhythms. I will also focus on the eclipses. Of course, this New Moon was a Solar Eclipse in Leo. I have been following this basic and simple cycle for years now and the influences are certain. Working with the Moon Cycle by way of timing for setting intentions towards more satisfying experiences is the practical advantage. I have given and will again offer workshops on learning how to read and make practical use of a pocket Astrologer. Once you know the basic language, be able to read the sign as listed in the planet/sign tables (Ephemeris) you will see for yourself and feel the lunar rhythm more fully. Live in Tune with the Sun and Moon

The most recent New Moon was a Solar Eclipse in Leo at 9 degrees 32 minutes and took place on Friday August 1st at 3:13 am PDT.

I wrote about it in my most recent Tip of the Week so this will link you there to read more if you have not already done so. I would like to add that Eclipses comes in families and their direct influence can last up to 6 months. There are ever overlapping cycles yet eclipses; especially Total Solar Eclipses like this one creates measurable waves of influence, which Astrologers can best explain, as they relate to us personally. Like all powerful celestial events, the influence is both general and particular from person to person. The closer the aspect of the eclipse to any of our own Natal planets, the more obvious is the effect. The actual path of the eclipse is another important factor. Synchronistically, this eclipse path begins in the mid latitudes of Canada and travels across the north Atlantic then sweeps down south east through the very center of Asia and culminates right on the borders of India and China! Not surprisingly, the whole world will be focused on that region just as the moon waxes to full. It is also worth noting that the Summer Olympics begin on the day of the First Quarter Moon. I imagine that someone was thinking when they chose this accurate timing date for success. Fortunately, the basic themes associated with this eclipse are positive.

Generally, working with eclipses can lead us to more confident timing and self-assertion and also to be aware of more trying influences. Awareness is not simply about offence or defence; however, it is about achieving greater attunement, rhythm and flow with both larger and more subtle natural life cycles. The New Moon event anchors the themes of the planets for the course of the Lunation Cycle.

The actual planets in aspect to one another and especially their close aspects to our own Natal Planets are timed and triggered by the Moon in its 29.5 day Synodic cycle also referred to as the ‘soli-lunar’ cycle. My goal is to guide you to recognize the connection between the larger planetary cycles and the triggering effects of the Moon. These, of course, occur especially at the New Moon, which anchors new energy, then at the Waxing and waning half Moons and especially at the Full Moon. The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse takes place on August 16th at 2:16 am PDT. Yes, this Full Moon is also an eclipse, a Partial Lunar Eclipse!

It is worth noting that Mars will form a stressful square (90 degrees) to Pluto less than an hour after the exact Full Moon, which by way will take place on August 16th at 2:16 pm PDT in the Sign of Aquarius at 24 degrees 21 minutes. The effect of this Mars/Pluto Square will generally be one of tremendous exertion of will and energy backed by precision and finesse as indicated by Saturn, Mercury, Venus and Mars in the sign of Virgo. This is another exciting synchronicity coinciding with the Olympics in China.

The world is changing quickly and with change comes opportunity!

As we begin our journey through the 21st century in the Western calendar, we see a changing world. Advanced technologies are changing both the face of commerce and society. We are able to move and travel more and people do. I have learned that the travel industry is a multi trillion dollar industry. Some may feel that with peak oil this will change and the trend will decline. This is unlikely as new technologies are emerging and always will to facilitate our ability to share our world. Beyond the science and technology aspects of Aquarius, the sign marking the 2150 year “Age” or “Great Month”, all the peoples of our planet will progressively interact, mingle and merge. Allegiances will change as is ever the case in the shifting waves of societies. It will take time but the pace is quickening…. One of the great advantages of our current revolution of evolution is that we are learning how to share the wealth. Yes, there exists many imbalances in the world, yet this can and is changing. Aquarius is about groups, clubs, associations and collectives all networking. Extensive communications, connections and referrals are the new norm thanks to the World Wide Web especially. Many people are making residual incomes now as commerce pushes us to network and vice versa. In fact, many people are making very large sums of residual income and are literally forming new avenues for health and wealth for us all. To share the wealth we must learn to share the world and its wealth of abundance and the way to do that is to communicate, network and refer others to new associations as well. Life Coach Tips

One of the most obvious thing to do in life to benefit yourself is to get a personal Astrology Reading.

You might say, "sure you would say that as it is your business". Yes, I am a professional Astrologer. But, the main reason I am is because I value the opportunities Astrology provides for self awareness, deep insight, guidance, healthy directions, leads and timing. With Astrology, your personality can be assessed in such a way as to make you feel recognized, affirmed, more aware and confident. Life is big and change is the law and we all undergo evolutionary and personal growth cycles. So, the more aware we are the better. To keep it really simple, Astrology is based on a map. Consider how valuable a map is. Whether you are walking, driving, flying, sailing or other complex mode of movement, a map or at least sign are fundamentally important and we all use them.

In like manner of importance, clocks and calendars are valuable inventions. I like to remind people that in as much as Astrology is Astronomy brought down to Earth and applied to the everyday affairs of life, clocks and calendars are actually astrological inventions.
