Tip of the week:

The Total Solar Eclipse that occurred on August 1^st and the partial Lunar Eclipse on August 16^th are now fully in effect. Eclipses create a wave of energy that brings change, in association with the actual planetary picture as illustrated in an Astrology Chart. This change is especially strong for those people whose Natal planets, or the position of the planets at the exact moment of one’s first breath at birth, are activated. This occurs when the degree of the eclipse is the same as, or within 2-3 degrees of, one’s natal planetary positions. The mid points between two natal planets are also sensitive points and if they are at the same or close to the degree of the eclipses the planets and signs involved will be noticeably influenced. Beyond these ‘exact aspects’ or ‘hits’ as they are colloquially referred to among Astrologers, the actual Zodiac Sign and especially the Astrological House where the eclipse occurs will be influenced. This is why predictive Astrologers especially pay such close attention to Solar and Lunar Eclipses. The Solar eclipse took place at 9 degrees Leo 32 minutes in the Tropical Zodiac and the Lunar Eclipse was at 24 degrees Aquarius 17. The Solar and Lunar Eclipses that occur in pairs like this one are always a part of the same Saros Cycle, which is too long to explain here. The following quote from Bernadette Brady’s, “The Eagle and the Lark” a predictive Astrology book by a celebrated Astrologer from Australia offers the following general interpretation: “ This Saros Cycle concerns itself with breaking out of a negative situation where no hope can be seen to a more positive space containing many options. A worry that may have been affecting a person will suddenly clear. The solution is shown by the Cosmos and needs to be taken up without too much delay”. Use this interpretation for whatever insight you can get from it according to your own life situation. It is not meant to be literal in the strict sense of the term because every person and Astrology chart is unique and must be interpreted according to each person, city or country and their actual situation. This includes the subtle reality of the natal planets that might be aspected and the Signs and Houses where the eclipses occur. Since the active and energetic influence of a Solar Eclipse continues for about six months or until the next Solar Eclipse, there is plenty of time to make this one a closer study in your own life. Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

Your focus will take a decidedly practical turn this week. Casting a constructively critical eye towards improvements will become obvious now. Pressures from others to give more of your self are also noticeable. Determine your priorities so you give where it is most needed. Be open to learning and instruction. You are in the mood to get a lot done now. Avoid too much thinking and take direct action. Change is coming in your public and professional life and this is a good time to gear-up to take calculated risks.

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)

Creative efforts to bring more beauty into your life are your focus now. Refinements of one kind or another are on your mind. You may want to make the most with the least. Your goal is to combine good economy with high efficiency. Keep an open mind about how to strike this balance. Define wealth as the ability to yield a lot from minimum input. This is good science and good sense however you apply it. Meet the changing economic times with ambition and determination. Take the road less travelled by emulating the thoughts and actions of pioneers.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)

Bringing order to your home is likely now. This is a good time to clear the clutter. This focus may be turned towards body organ cleanses. Repairs long overdue are also possible. Invest your energy and focus to clear the old to make way for the new and realize greater confidence. With a clean slate and base of operations, you will achieve more. Investigate and research to gain knowledge and overcome fears generated by a passive approach. Put your imagination to work for you by generating many ideas about generating income and making investments.

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)

Increasing the breadth, scope and quality of your communications is important now. You want to cover a lot of ground quickly. This may include a lot of errands and even some travel. You want to make the best use of your time and energy and this may include some investments. With four planets in Virgo now, cleaning, clearing and getting organized for the sake of practical interest and focus is a current theme for us all. To succeed you must be open to and aware of the changes in the world that are affecting your life. Be flexible and versatile.

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)

You are all about business now. Creating new streams of income is on your mind. Patiently laying a firm foundation is a priority. You do not want to overspend but you are willing to invest. Alternative approaches and new business concepts and strategies are gaining your attention. You are also interested in the deeper aspects of life. Seeing the reality beyond the illusion may pose some challenges. Honour the esoteric as well as the exoteric, the inner and the outer reality. Aim to build a healthy and solid new foundation. Transcend the phrase and/or attitude ‘I want to survive’ and replace it with “I choose to thrive!”

Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22)

You are in the mood to take some important initiatives. Your focus is sharp and you are in a serious mood. Your ambitions are growing but to succeed you may have to make some extra efforts. Visualize successfully by focusing upon your desired outcomes and work your magic. Often, all our mind really needs is some images and pictures. Once these are clearly in mind and then backed by desire and realistic steps to achieve the goal, the subconscious mind will go to work to assist the process. This is practical magic. Above all, take initiatives and exercise your leadership supported by awareness and innovation.

Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22)

Rest and retreat is calling you out from the game. You may still want to be productive so you are wise to work behind the scenes. Your beliefs about what you need to be and do to feel secure are changing. Use this time to reflect. As you let go rigid attachments you will feel more confident. The world is changing quickly now and the pace stands to quicken yet. So it is wise to flow with the change. Thinking that is rigid, stubborn, inflexible, stiff and obstinate are a source of pain and this stands to be truer than ever in the emerging economy. For now, take time to meditate and contemplate upon creative possibilities for positive changes in your normal routine.

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21)

You feel extra independent now. Strong desires to tap undiscovered aspects of your individuality are activating your intuition. Your focus is sharp but you may have to make extra efforts to keep an open mind about the possibilities. Take an experimental approach for best results. This includes making your imagination work for you rather than against. Consider that life happens ‘for’ us and not ‘to’ us and this includes you. However, as life is ever changing we must cooperate and change along with it. Even the pace of change undergoes changes and it is faster than ever. Tune-in!

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

The time has come to pay more attention to your public standing and reputation. All efforts towards improving your position will meet with success. Ask for favours and/or earned rewards from those in positions of power and authority. Aim to increase your income potential. It is important that you take deliberate action now. You may feel rebellious and determined to take radical action. Yet, keep both feet on the ground and pay attention to the details. Decipher all the ways you can and will generate more income. Turn your grass into a vegetable garden and remember that your diamonds are in your own back yard.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

You are in the mood to diversify your focus and perhaps your portfolio. This may well include more studies and perhaps formal education. This is a good time to learn and to teach as well. Exercising your imagination in connection with religious, philosophical and cultural and interests could produce many insights. Take initiatives this week to complete all the unfinished business that is in the way of current goals. Realistically assess your situation and the outer realities that touch upon it.  Aim to make sounds judgements yet steer clear of judgmental attitudes; there is a big difference.

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19)

Some big changes close to home and in your overall lifestyle approach is on your mind. You are ready to push to win as necessary. A creative investigation towards increasing your income is underway. Be open to changes in your self-concept and what you believe is possible to succeed. The Sun’s passage through Virgo time is one of regeneration for you. This basic means inner and outer change and can imply cleaning and clearing and investigating and investing. You will notice a definite increase in your resolve to take new initiatives to create new connections. Do your research homework first!

Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20)

All of your relationships are taking on a more serious tone. You want to make some creative changes for the sake of a smoother flow. You also want to experience more quality and greater fulfillment. Embrace the challenges and pressures you are experiencing and rise to meet the challenge. This includes cultivating better relationships and relating ability in general. There is a lot of information available to help you learn how, quickly and effectively. Your job is to sincerely want to, then ask and reach out to others or to the internet etcetera and then follow through consistently. Some success formulas do not change but society does and the pace is quickening.
