Horoscope for the week of October 24, 2008

Tip of the Week:

The Sun is now in Scorpio along with Mars, the sign of change and transformation. More specifically, Scorpio is linked to banks, insurance, taxes, inheritances and depth psychology, sexuality and the processes of death and rebirth.  Much is afoot at this time and while the waves are very high on certain shores, it is business as usual on others such as here in Canada where the governmental status quo is virtually identical to what it was before our federal elections. There is a message in that telling us that, for our part, our banking system is more stable. Of course we are linked to the economic reality of the U.S. as are other countries. So, the entire world is still reeling and bracing itself for the economic changes that are sweeping the globe and it will continue, probably for years. Furthermore, the repercussions will prove transformational indeed all as a part of a larger process. Among other things, we are witnessing just how closely all the economies of the world are linked. Certain people, categories or people and institutions around the world are more affected than many closer to the epicentre in the U.S. itself. While it is good to be aware and to prepare for what further repercussions we may feel, such responses are all part of the greater purpose at play here. Put simply, the planetary alignments are indicating that this is the birth of a whole new economy and attitude towards money, possessions, investments, security, insurance and social collective, attitudes and orientations such retirement. All these things will shift and change. People will become more aware of the importance and value of multiple streams of income, on one hand, and being more appreciative of basic, simple wholesome values like good food, clean water and community living. Beyond all our fears and reactions and with due compassion for those most negatively affected by this economic earthquake, we have reason to celebrate that something is shifting. Our opportunity and challenge is to learn from it and make good of this opening that hopefully will introduce a check into the business as usual attitudes that are ecologically damaging.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

You have the ball firmly in hand and are running hard for the goal line. Your world is rocking and so are you. Opportunity is knocking and all you have to do is answer the door. Significant others are more than happy to roll along with you. Whatever else is happening, give thanks for being here and show us all what you got! Amidst all the fun, tend to your health.

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)

The heat is steadily rising on relationship fronts. For better or worse you have little choice but to dive right in. If you have good reason not to take the plunge, resist the temptation by redirecting your focus to where it is well received. In any case, celebrate the passion coming your way, for all its worth and reveal your own gritty silk texture.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)

Clean, clear, eliminate and transform. That is a key formula for this time. Do the work now and you will be well rewarded soon. To stay inspired, trust in your manifestation powers. Avoid slipping into fear and simply ask for what you most desire. If life replies with making you work, accept it as its way of negotiating for a fair deal.

Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22)

Opportunity is pounding at your door. Before you answer, affirm that you are willing to go for it as long as it includes gaining knowledge linked to marketable skills. Hey, we all must engage in the game and exchange our valuable energy for a decent return. The world is changing and the playing field is being levelled. Be willing to take leaps and risks, by your own creative design.

Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23)

The kitty is roaring in the den. It wants attention and especially wants to get right down to business. The mood is not for the feeble or meek. Not everything is as you would like it and you can no longer rely on others as you hoped. Yet, you are also seeing through and beyond in ways you could not before.
