Why do some people pursue a certain career path and follow it through all their life happily and successfully while others are endlessly frustrated with theirs? While we might rightly point to talent, intelligence, opportunity and attitude there is actually much more to it than that. Sometimes people are so satisfied with their work that they do not mind ‘sacrificing’ while at others they are simply stuck in a rut.

Career is often one of the most important areas of a person’s life. Some refer to it as vocation and there is a big emphasis these days on “right vocation”. Our career can sometimes merely constitute a job – something we do because we can, or it is available or because our parents did that kind of work. In some cases, a person’s career overshadows all other relationships such as family, marriage partner and social activity and so on.
