Horoscope for the week starting August 21, 2009 Tip of the Week: The Moon’s nodal axis moves from Aquarius/Leo to Capricorn/Cancer on August 21. This will activate a more sober and serious tone overall. Capricorn and Cancer generally refer to father and mother or at least to parents in general. Themes of conditional father love – Capricorn and unconditional mother love – Cancer will come into play more noticeably in our lives. At best, the roles of parents serve to protect, nurture, guide and direct ‘children’ to what the parents to perceive and believe to be good, safe, right and sensible action amidst simpler joys, fun and play. When this parental intention comes from society in general, it can take the form of new rules and laws, norms and customs. Safety, protection and the welfare of people in general will come into sharper focus. The heavier aspects of this ‘parental’ theme are likely to produce more authoritative attitudes coming from governing institutions. Since, the North Node is Capricorn; a core emphasis will be placed upon maturity, discipline, duty and integrity. Positively, the next 18 months will contribute to a more mature and responsible attitude in society in general. At worst, it will produce a more serious and sober mood that dampens otherwise playful spirits. Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20) Your playful mood will switch to a more serious tone this week. You will pay more attention to the details. You may be extra critical for a few days. This will flow into a more diplomatic approach by weekend. Meanwhile, the needs of home and family are on your mind. Thoughts of security, finance, authority and power are pushing you to make some fundamental changes. Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21) The curves in your road are usually longer and more gradual than those of others. So, a current creative cycle that began about a month ago enters its next phase. Now that the ground work is done, it is time to pay more attention to the finishing touches to highlight the beauty of your expressions. Emphasis on asserting your own style will be strong, as ever. Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21) Balancing dreams with realities and possibilities with probabilities are current themes. You are gearing up to make some major moves, in the bigger scheme of things. Yet, to prepare certain key decisions must be made. Do inner work to clear fears and make long-term plans. Create a beautiful vision - seeing your self taking leaps of faith and landing happily. Yet, focus on practical matters now. Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22) Taking stock of your assets, talents, finances that you can use to invest in the co-creative process will shift this week. Where to direct these assets is the question. Further, how to market and where, is leading you to learn more all about it. The times are ever changing and some shifts are bigger and more than others. Time to study! Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23) Over the past month or so the time has been ripe to explore new territory. Now it is time to review. What worked well and what did not. Where seems to be your best direction? How to proceed? Who to contact? These and other such questions may be on your mind. Deep changes are brewing. You are determined to learn how to make your focus and efforts count for more, literally. Decipher who is your audience. Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22) A period of retreat is coming to a close. Hopefully, you were able to acknowledge the slow down and flow with it. If not, at least take it easy this weekend because the pace will quicken this week. Expect your imagination engines to start firing with added force. Breaking through mental and emotional patterns upholding limiting beliefs is the deep end of the story. Reflect upon your intentions; visualize rising to higher ground. Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22) A more social period is due to enter a more inner one. Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19) In order to make important changes without, you are wise to make key changes within. This process was the secret of the alchemists of antiquity and remains so today. When we focus to activate change mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically (Air, Water, Fire, and Earth) we are working holistically and magically. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts, always. Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20) Playing with ideas about how to create better health continues. This will shift to touch upon your relationships this week. The first intention to make changes in the mind, now it is time to take action in fact.
