The first New Moon of the year occurred on January 14 at 11:11 pm PST and is a Solar Eclipse. As promised last week, this week’s horoscope will provide of an overview of what each sign can sign can expect from this celestial seed event. The influence can last up to six months but the changes could last a lifetime. The basic picture of the actual New Moon Chart reveals a sober theme. Yet, there is awakening and healing and optimism woven into it too! Humanity is awakening to the fact that every aspect of creation - animate and inanimate, biological and crystalline, material and energetic is an expression of consciousness. Materialism and the separation that it breeds and vice versa no longer stands on firm ground. Science itself has proven this to be true. Advanced physics and neuroscience for example, reveal the metaphysical world to be ‘real’ after all. This delivers a real blow to materialism which has long claimed the throne of realism. Civilization itself is challenged to comply. Religion based on blind faith is no longer necessary. Acknowledging that the consciousness that is woven into the fabric of creation is spiritual is the next great challenge. The Solar Eclipse and first New Moon, of the year is 25 Capricorn 01. New levels of power, authority and responsibility are likely, but with it will come equal measure responsibility. This could be your big break, hopefully a rise and not a fall, but either way a change. You could gain much more public attention. Certain relationships will soon deepen, others will end. You will soon define reality in new ways. Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21) Your vision of yourself and the future will undergo changes. Expansion and big ideas and plans are likely. Paying closer attention to your health may prove extra important, possibly urgent. Spiritual convictions may suddenly emerge. Be careful of fanatical attitudes. Involvements with new friends and groups will take on new meaning and importance. Changes for the better in your profession are also likely. Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21) This eclipse will deepen and accelerate the change already happening in your world. Financial affairs will likely come to the fore. Sudden changes in fortune could arise. Your sex life could take a new turn. Maybe you will win a lottery. Loss is also a possibility. Beyond finances, this could include people. Themes of endings and rebirth are present. Changes in your values and spiritual views are part of the plot. An initiation is at hand. Cancer (Jun 22 – Jul 22) Changes in your relationships will be activated by this eclipse. These may be professional and/or personal. A job or career path may take a big turn. Change here is a virtual certainty. Whatever begins will likely bring long-term responsibilities. You will see things in a new light. You could become a parent. Spiritual perspectives will change and convictions increase. Your courage will be called forth, to claim and share your gifts. Leo (Jul 23 – Aug 23) Your job, career and lifestyle and daily routine will experience a shift. Expect a push to pay closer attention to the details; to study harder and work smarter. New work or stimulating more streams of income implies refining existing skills and developing latent talents. You could begin a new fitness and health focus; feel inspired to clean house, shed light on blind spots. Present a more professional image. Virgo (Aug 24 – Sep 22) New creative expressions will be activated at this eclipse. Your eldest child will play a more active role. This could include your first artistic piece – a revival. Strengthening existing foundations is likely and includes rising above personal inequities. Getting serious about having more fun will guide you to manage your time better. The drive to be your best will become more apparent. Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 22) Changes around your home and family will affect your career and reputation and vice versa. Renovations and/or the sale or purchase of a home is likely. The changes stand to be big and sudden and come from others. Making new arrangements with parents could mean you leaving home or them coming to your home or you returning home. Personal challenges could become more apparent. Take action to be stronger. Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21) A renewed seriousness in your studies, creative expressions and profession are featured in this eclipse. You may find the courage and discipline to write a book. Bringing matters to completion will include sober attention to the details. Changes in the status and fortunes of siblings or neighbors could play key roles. People and circumstances will arise that will change your attitude, direction and focus. Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21) New values concerning money will come to the fore. You could get the push to give more. Acquiring new possessions which bring new levels of status and esteem are probable, like buying a new car or investing in gold or other precious metals and stones. Creating more beauty by way of building better health is possible. A change in the status of your friendships and associations are part of the plot. Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19) New modes of self-expression will take on added importance with this eclipse. Asserting a new self-image will become obvious to everyone. With your mind focus sharpened, new strengths are ready to emerge. You may be preparing or working to go for the bigger prize. Unsatisfied with certain levels of achievement, you will aim higher. Watch for a sudden change of, or in, your residence. Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 19) Looking deeper into the mysteries of life will be activated now. Understanding the mechanics of the subconscious and other deep studies is likely. Clearing old past karma either by inspiration or circumstance could keep you busy. Identifying and clearing the proverbial skeleton in the closet could set you free. Going within, soul searching and deepening your studies could lead to new levels of mastery. Pisces (Feb 20 – Mar 20) Increasing your social network will be activated with this eclipse. New friendships and alliances to support your career and/or status will be a focus. New groups, clubs and associations will take on added importance. Travel adventure and risk may come as a surprise. Changes in your financial status will be a strong theme. Shedding old skins and making efforts to break through to new levels will prove important.
