Western Astrology is based on the Tropical Zodiac. It is sometimes referred to as the Seasonal Zodiac, which reveals an intimate relationship between the Sun and Earth and, more specifically, measures the cycles of the Sun’s Light’ here on Earth.
The Sunlight cycle is divided into 4 segments by the annual event of Solstices and Equinoxes, which determines 4 seasons of 3 months each and equates to 12 equal segments referred to as the 12 Signs of the Zodiac.
The 12 Signs do share a close association with the 12 Constellations of the Zodiac. Yet, they are determined by the annual, rhythmic time-periods within the context of the seasons as opposed to the 12 Constellations.
Two thousand years of practice and observation by astrologers the world over, which steadily increases to this day, is testimony to the relevance and remarkable accuracy of this model of Astrology.

In this Masterclass with Michael, therefore, you will be guided to a deep appreciation of why both models, the Tropical and the Sidereal Zodiacs, are relevant, yet why a debate persists.
While the constellations are regarded and even often incorporated into regular practice, they are seen as another layer or backdrop to the 12 Signs, and neither excludes the other.
However, despite this ancient tradition of practice, common assertions that the Tropical Zodiac is not valid periodically emerge, revealing dogmatic assumptions of how Astrology ‘should’ be understood and practiced.
More importantly, you will learn to appreciate the incredible significance, power, and importance of the Sun/Earth relationship, and of the ever-changing yet rhythmic and cyclic cast of the Sun’s Light and its direct association with one’s nature, personality, and destiny.

While no prior knowledge of or experience with Astrology is required, you will gain a lot of insight into the science and metaphysics of the power and significance of the Sun/Earth relationship experienced as the annual seasonal round and as the ever-changing, daily cast of the Sun’s Light.
