Michael O’Connor is a full-time professional Astrologer and Life Coach serving an international clientele for his 30-year career.
His work is supported by ongoing studies in spirituality, the human potential movement, and the psychology of self-actualization geared towards personal health and professional fulfillment. Dedicated to his clients and consistent with his focus, Michael has helped thousands of people to achieve greater self-awareness, inner peace, and empowerment, and both personal and professional clarity and success.
Michael is a Humanistic Astrologer, which means he is person-centered which aligns closely with the life coaching model. His work with people includes a strong emphasis on personal development, self-actualization, career direction and achievement, and finding the balance between inner (spiritual), and outer (material) success.
​In addition to doing Readings for clients the world over by phone and internet covering a wide spectrum of interests and concerns, Michael also offers Life Coaching. As a coach, Michael can be understood to be a Spiritual, Professional, and Personal Transformation Life Coach. Honoring both the themes and cycles of destiny and of free will, he supports his clients to successfully realize their full potential, with the deep understanding of their Natal Chart and within the realities of their actual life circumstances. Â
“My work can be understood as having four categories, which generally and ideally follow the order outlined below, but not strictly or necessarily.
My initial approach emphasizes who you are, your nature and deeper soul purpose, to determine what is referred to as the ‘chart promise’ which includes both the overall essence and the specific details of your destiny, and not simply eventful episodes based on current transits. This ‘person-centered’ as opposed to purely ‘event-oriented’ approach is central to Humanistic Astrology.
The focus of this first and foundational approach encompasses a diverse array of destined ‘probabilities’ associated with karmic factors that reveal advantages and opportunities as well as debts and challenges. These range from career directions, relationship dynamics, family of origin influences, health, relocation, real estate timing and more…
Once this foundational understanding is achieved, then the focus turns to the second category, which is assessing the destined influence and duration of the most significant transits and progressions and their timing, which can span years, with emphasis on the peak dates and associated periods. This is where ‘life happens while you are making plans for other things.
Category three outlines the influence of background influences which can be understood as contextual themes of destiny revealing longer timelines or chapters and their themes and start and end dates, within which transits and progressions occur. That these are also dynamic flows as opposed to the more enduring themes revealing in the Birth Chart yet can be understood as providing larger time frames within which transits and even progressions occur can provide valuable, much longer-term perspectives supporting a wider vision of evolutionary purpose and conscious alignment.
Due to their collective scope and complexity, the three categories outlined above together provide a foundation for coaching where the focus dives deeper, yet can be deemed less urgent and sensational, emphasizing evolutionary processes supported by spiritual and psychological insight, guidance and ongoing support.
Due to these four categories, the focus can shift quickly from emphasizing core destined themes as indicated in the Birth Chart, to observing current cycles of influences, to deciphering the influence of larger background evolutionary themes and timing, switching from consultation, to counseling to coaching. All the above can be deemed quite nature and common to Astrological practice, yet some practitioners either specialize in one area or only focus on current trends and events, which at worst is not supported by a deeper and wider or ‘whole’ context of purpose and which does not offer further support and guidance through the time period associated with these processes.”
Michael’s background includes a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada and certifications in Life Coaching, Transpersonal Hypnotherapy, Birth Order Psychology, and 25 years of advanced spiritual studies.

It is my policy to record all sessions, whether of Readings or Coaching, which is shared with clients after each session, and is also securely stored in an ‘offline’ archive. These are generally kep for a period of 5 years, sometimes longer, the copies of which can be obtained by the client only and which are always stored securely in a safe and with strict confidentiality.
