Under the Full Moon light in fiery, bold Aries, in the final days of the Universal 1-Month in the Universal 1-Year that 2026 is, we have arrived at a threshold, a critical moment, and turning point. It does so with the Sun in Libra in the early days of Autumn, and Mercury is in Libra too, where, in its heightened manifestation, it equates to the ability to see things more clearly than usual, with greater objectivity where facts and truths are less polarized, and the thousands of shades of grey are more recognized.
Venus, (which is the ruling planet for Libra), is in Scorpio and is poised to turn retrograde on October 3. Venus in Scorpio can indeed prove deep, passionate, and alluring, what can be described as a hypnotic and powerfully alluring enchantress. Whether she leans to the light or more to the dark is not a pat given, as every case must be assessed as a whole, yet in this position, Venus can certainly be deemed mysterious and provocative.
Since Scorpio is ruled by both Mars and Pluto, a closer examination of each merits attention. Mars is in Cancer and Pluto is in Aquarius – the sign that is symbolically associated with computers and the internet or the www. Not surprisingly, Uranus was exactly conjunct Neptune in Capricorn when the internet officially became public domain in late April 1993. Capricorn is the sign of societal structures and institutions, and these have clearly changed and in revolutionary ways in the 22 years since that time.
The fact that Uranus is the ruling planet for Aquarius and which entered Gemini, the sign of communications, information exchange, knowledge and intelligence, in July of 2025, (which has synchronized with the sudden rise of AI), is noteworthy. The fact that Uranus will be in Gemini until late May 2033 suggests that the AI revolution will continue to transform the world at an increasingly accelerated rate.
Pluto in Aquarius is also an anchor theme in this regard, and it will remain in revolutionary Aquarius until 2044.
Meanwhile, while Mars is hardly the biggest indicator of major events, it does play a key role as the first of the outer planets, symbolic of deliberate action, the veritable verb in the sentence, as it were. Mars in Cancer is generally deemed an aggressive placement. Whether that aggression is used for good or ill is another matter. As the story goes, any aspect such as this will invariably manifest at every level across the spectrum of human consciousness and is intimately associated with both our individual and collective destinies.
So, it is not a question of this ‘or‘ that but of this ‘and‘ that, and the others too. This is why making specific outcome predictions associated with any astrological event will vary when the focus is turned to larger collectives and the bigger picture. I have made efforts to explain this many times over the years, but it is not easy for people to understand due to a lack of deeper understanding of Astrology. While aptitude and perception paradigms always matter, it is more fully a lack of knowledge than it is of intelligence.
Despite many levels of interpretation from superficial to deeply profound, the basics of Astrology could be taught to high school students in terms of the comprehension level required, so the issue is more fully one of psychology and how social conditioning has a way of supporting certain kinds of access to knowledge while blocking others. This tendency toward bias and selective perception is natural and common, but can be overcome.
Yet, people commonly assume that they are perceiving reality ‘as it is’. The irony here is that ‘reality is perceived as it is when you realize that you do not perceive reality as it is, but as you are.’ The fine print in this statement includes understanding that there are many categories of perception and modes and levels of intelligence based on one’s nature.
The other detail is directly associated with how we are conditioned by society and culture. While many might dismiss this as nonsense, doing so is exactly what marketers and those invested in propaganda hope. After all, returns are desired for making such large investments into not just deciphering what people will think and choose, but in determining what they will think and choose.
This brings the focus back to Venus in Scorpio, which, due to turning retrograde this week, will linger there until January 26, 2027, despite a period of retreat back into ‘her’ ruling sign of Libra between October 25 and December 4. For now, while in Scorpio, along with Mercury as of September 30, they have a job to do, which can be described as uncovering masked and hidden truths and the deceptions of disinformation.
Mercury will remain in Scorpio until December 6, where, in its more positive expression, healthy skepticism based on the research of facts beyond assumptions and beliefs can support new perspectives. This is what this Full Moon in Aries is activating.
So, get ready for an exciting ride during which time perspectives will undergo powerful transformations over the next couple of months, during which time the heat of intrigue, debate, and controversy will escalate… significantly.

A busy cycle was activated by the advent of autumn. Positively, a stimulation of your intellectual interests occurred. The focus will take a deeper turn as Mercury enters Scorpio. Focusing to make changes close to home is part of the plot. At deeper levels, inner work to access inner reserves of power will prove worth the effort.

A yearning to break free from the past to experience a greater measure of independence is a driving motivation. A new balance is desired and could include your overall lifestyle and not just financial matters, but they are probably connected.

The Sun in your sign is an invitation to take new initiatives. The impulse to do so will linger for several weeks. Desires for a healthier income flow is featured. The last quarter of the year begins officially marked by the Autumn Equinox, when the hours of daylight and night are equal. There is poetry in this rhythmic flow. Yet, it is much more than mere words rhyming.
There is an archetypal theme woven into this consistent process. Just as any single calendar day begins with midnight, arriving at sunrise symbolized by 6 am, then culminating as high noon and the Sun setting symbolized by 6 pm, and just as the Lunation Cycle measures the Moon as it waxes and wanes, arriving at the cardinal turning points of New, First Quarter, Full, and Last Quarter, the year cycle too is divided by Winter and Summer Solstice and Spring and Autumn Equinox, to produce an approximate 91.5-day season.
These cyclic processes are more than phenomenal; they are symbolic and give definition to the word ‘archetype’ coined by the Ancient Greeks 26 hundred or so years ago. Those who truly understand recognize that these measures of natural, rhythmic cycles are the very foundations of Astrology.
This year, Autumn Equinox occurs on September 22 in North America, at 8:05 PM EDT. It does so with the Moon in the Gibbous Phase, the one that is waxing and has a shape that approximates an egg. In this Universal 1-Year, this is an apt indication that the seeds of the larger 9-year cycles are still being sown.
Mercury in sharp and charming Libra is beginning to slow prior to its next retrograde cycle that begins in late October. Venus in sultry Scorpio is moving much more slowly yet, from our geo-centric vantage, as it prepares to turn retrograde in early October, and will re-enter her ruling sign of Libra on the heels of Mercury. Mars in Cancer continues to prove its edgy force in watery realms, synchronizing with clashing swords of conflicting perspectives, beliefs, words and visions of future possibilities.
Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune in fiery Leo and Aries, Uranus and Pluto in airy Gemini and Aquarius together reveal bold assertions to build a brave new world. Though life is, always has been, and will always be a drama where liberty confronts the ceaseless drives of tyranny, these are our times to behold, and it is hardly boring.

We have now officially entered the Last Quarter Moon Phase of the Solar Eclipse of August 12. In some respects, it seems like much longer. The passage of time can be like that – sometimes seeming to pass very quickly, while at other times, so much happens that time seems to slow down.
As Einstein demonstrated, leading to his theory of the Law of Relativity, it clarifies that all experience is ultimately subjective and the experiencer cannot be taken out of the experiment in hopes of achieving pure objectivity. This assertion was perhaps his greatest contribution to humanity since it crumbled the aspirations of modern science to assume that pure objectivity could be achieved. As a consequence, it has opened the doors to the realization of numerous paradoxes woven into the fabric of existence, including those that exist in high numbers in Quantum Physics.
Closer to the present, the Solar Eclipse was of course followed by the Lunar Eclipse that occurred just last week, August 27. So, for some, the effects of these events included both; for others, only one eclipse event was destined to have a strong impact. But for some, they were not destined to trigger the changes that others are fully experiencing as the flow of synchronicity that unfolds accordingly.
So, take a moment to reflect on what major events, activities, or choices you have made that have quite significantly changed your life? Hopefully, you have experienced positive activations and are in a productive dynamic now. Admittedly, it would be naïve to assume that this is the case for everyone. As true as it is that every ending marks a new beginning, a rebirth of some kind, the reality is that some births, followed by death, whether literal or symbolic, can prove very painful indeed. It takes great strength and faith to rise from the ashes, and that is exactly what so many are challenged to do currently, both literally and figuratively. Empathy and compassion for all those, and any of you, who have been enduring such scathing karmic visitations as we are witnessing daily.
Natural disasters have always ravaged people. Nature is the true power and has ever been and will be. How could it be otherwise, since the entire universe is the physical manifestation of nature? As genius and jaw-droppingly impressive as our inventions and engineering feats are, nature is simply much more powerful than we can ever be. The best we can do is defend ourselves with shelters, structures and technological innovations. Of course, on the high side, wisdom guides us to cooperate with nature. Attempting to control it too much will eventually backfire and humanity, the human condition, has arrived at a turn when we are wise to respect this fact; lest the consequential backlash achieve new levels of fury beyond what the world is experiencing now.
2026 is a Universal 1-Year, and September is a Universal 1-Month, and in Numerology, 1 is symbolic of new beginnings of any kind and taking new leads and initiatives. It equates closely with Aries and with Cardinal Signs in general, which are symbolic of decisive action.
With Venus currently in Libra, and Mercury in Virgo, where they are both in ‘honor’ by sign, September begins on a high note. While Mars in Cancer can prove aggressive, it can also prove very productive, as with renovating structures.
The very day of the next New Moon, which is September 10, Mercury will enter Libra, and Venus will enter Scorpio, a very influential combination indeed!
Meanwhile, Saturn, Chiron, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are all currently retrograde, activating themes of deepening associated with whatever themes of destiny they are meant to reveal.

In some regards, you are busy forging ahead in your public and professional life. This includes diplomatic, if still assertive, public relations. Working behind the scenes will probably prove the most productive or at least satisfying now. The time is right to prepare for bigger moves toward the end of the month and through October. Focus on the finances too.
Scorpio (Oct 22 – Nov 21)
What constitutes the distinct features of your individuality? The clearer you can be in this regard, the better. With the Sun now in Virgo as of August 22 and Mercury there too as of August 25, the emphasis is on improvement, cultivation and refinement. The critical analysis of Virgo is meant to be directed in these ways. At worst, the tendency can be toward worries, which has a way of producing even more of the same and growing anxiety. But we do have the opportunity to choose.
Virgo’s wisdom is to be resourceful and constructive as well.
But, the Lunar Eclipse last night remains as the really big news. It is now officially in the Full Moon Phase. At its exact opposition point or peak moment of fullness, it formed close aspects to Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto too. That is a lot of contributing influence indicative of the fact that this is indeed a powerful event.
Usually it is the Solar Eclipse that is noticeably powerful, but in this case, it is the eclipsed Full Moon at 4 Pisces 54 that is making waves.
Because a Lunar Eclipse occurs at the Full Moon, it naturally emphasizes a culmination, revelation, illumination, completion, emotional realization, or turning point. A Lunar Eclipse can therefore be viewed as a period when something previously operating beneath awareness becomes more visible.
This Lunar Eclipse on August 27/28 will have a lingering influence for at least the next two weeks.
In some cases, it will continue for months and for some a lifetime. It will last a lifetime for all those who were destined to experience it strongly. Destined is the keyword, which at best implies meaning and purpose. Themes, timing, durations and what areas will be impacted can all be observed and then responded to with vision and strategy, supported by greater awareness.
Trusting and cooperating with difficult turns is challenging, a real test of character. Knowing how to not just adapt but respond accurately with grace and wisdom is where Astrology can help a lot. It can reveal the deeper meaning and purpose of a period of change. As well, it can clearly show that such events are not merely circumstantial.
Commonly, people suffer quietly and worse, they downward spiral, never to rise again. But it does not have to be this way. Or at least, the guidance it provides can bring clarity to new paths, directions, solutions and aspirations. The change can be hard, but with clarity and vision we can reclaim a new sense of hope and inspired determination to direct the ball of energy with discipline and purpose.

Eclipse season is upon us once again. It occurs every 6 months or so. Solar Eclipses occur when the Moon is exactly New, and Lunar Eclipses when the Moon is exactly Full. Ironically, Solar Eclipses are generally considered the more powerful.
What is ironic about this is that a Solar Eclipse can be regarded as the true ‘Super Moon’ yet occurs not when it is Full but when it is New. So, it is counter to popular thinking about Moons and their effects.
The impact of an eclipse must be assessed on a case-by-case basis. While the phenomenal or actual event is the visual, celestial spectacle, it can be deemed generic, and while the Sun and Moon do produce physical influences on Earth continuously, perpetually, and have so prior to the very existence of human beings, the astrological perspective is something else.
The astrological ‘influences’ are not based on physics, but on metaphysics, which extends to the holistic understanding that existence is consciousness made manifest. Consciousness in this regard can be referred to as Divine Mind. This is also directly related to the principle of archetypes, or the blueprint or design and building block IDEAS behind the outer, manifest universe.
In terms of their influence in Astrology, eclipses can be understood as activators of destiny.
Eclipses happen to share a close association with the Lunar Nodes. It is likely that the observations and studies into eclipses by our ancient forebears are what contributed to intuiting the entire concept of Lunar Nodes as holding mystical, spiritual implications.
The general interpretation can be achieved with Horoscopes, based on the ‘Solar House’ in which they occur. More specifically, the destined influence depends on the house placement and especially the aspects by degree to Natal Planets and the 4 main Angles (Ascendant/Descendant and Midheaven/Nadit).
This is not common knowledge, so do not assume that you should know this. If the planet or angle is close to this degree, within a couple of degrees, 3 at most, the impact is likely to be stronger than if the eclipse degree is higher than the angle or planet in question.
The basic rule of thumb regarding interpreting eclipses is that:

Solar Eclipses are more external, empirically actual and eventful, while

Lunar Eclipses tend to be more internal and subjective, affecting changes of perception, belief and other personal and emotionally charged realities.
This is not to say the Lunar Eclipses do not have noticeable outer effects. Yet, these are largely associated with the attitudes, feelings, perceptions, interpretations, beliefs and the behavioral changes associated with this receiving ‘activations’ subject to deeper, evolutionary needs, or requirements of destiny.
New Moons are all about new beginnings, whereas Full Moons imply clearing and purging the past. Full Moons ironically indicate that the Moon has effectively entered its waning phase; thus the processes of clearing the past are triggered. Positively, the process implies feelings, attitudes, orientations and sometimes actual events that trigger these to more fully emphasise personal, authentic values and needs.
Interestingly, both the Solar Eclipse at 20 Leo 04 that occurred on August 12 and the Lunar Eclipse that occurs at 4 Pisces 54 on August 27/28, (depending on your time zone), are closely associated with Aries and its ruling planet, Mars.
Mars is currently in Cancer, where it is oriented to ‘get to the bottom of things.’ I generally refer to it as the ‘renovator,’ and it can prove assertive at least and often aggressive. Since the influences of eclipse season tend to linger until the next eclipse season six months hence, we can expect there to be a lot of ‘cleaning and clearing’, at best replacing the old with the new.
