Here is an excerpt from my Tip of the Week for April 4, 2025:
Last week’s March 29 Solar Eclipse at 9 Aries is doing what it is destined to, so the initial signs should already be present, although sometimes there are delays and these can require weeks to fully show their purpose, but not months. Activations of fresh starts, initiatives, and sometimes sharp turns are experienced. These invariably lead to new experiences and resistance is futile. Cooperation is ever the key.
Neptune in Aries is the other hot topic of late, but it will more fully come into force next year, due to it turning retrograde this summer. So, its effects will be preliminary, yet they could prove noticeable enough if you happen to have Natal or Progressed planets up to 2 degrees of any sign.
If so, since Neptune will turn retrograde on July 4, you will experience a triple pass, meaning whatever Neptune is destined to dissolve, it will do so significantly between now and late January 2026.
All the while, Mercury has been retrograding in Pisces, the focus of which has been blurred by so much other excitement. Anyway, Mercury turns direct on April 7 and will enter Aries on the 15th, which will turn up the heat considerably, especially when Mars enters Leo on April 17.
In this regard, the heated, highly polarized Canadian Federal Election, for example, will be decided. Unless you feel called to get embroiled in dramatic events, whether personal, political, or social, it will prove wise to exercise a surrendered perspective of faith in the process and steer clear of histrionic types who assume they see reality as it is.
As we navigate 2025 and beyond…
Among the advantages of social media, it should be clear by now that we do not see reality as ‘it is’, but as ‘we are‘. As ‘we are’ by our nature, by our beliefs and perceptions, by our conditioning, by what information sources we expose ourselves to, by our scope of knowledge and understanding of any given situation.
The common tendency, however, is for people to project their subjective notions, which are assumed to be objective. Awareness of the subjectivity of our perspectives and interpretations is the key to increasing our objectivity. It can never be absolute, but it can be increased.
In other words, there are a lot of ‘facts’ to consider. So, any who assume to perceive reality matter-of-factly, which tends to be expressed as conclusively, is revealing the degree to which they are consumed by their ego.

Power and Control
Imagine that perception is like a multi-leveled chessboard, let’s say 7 levels. That might sound like a lot, but it is a conservative number. Yet, it is probably enough to clarify a few things. Especially since life on Earth is a never-ending story about power – personal and collective, and its polarity – which is control.
True power reveals a free society of mutual respect and the progressive fostering of integrity, supporting such attitudes as genuine gratitude, humility and self-honesty.
Control or false power, on the other hand, illustrates fear, attachment, and greed and tends to manifest as some form of aspiration to totalitarianism, such as extreme left socialism, communism, fascism, and so on.
While not specifically under these titles, some homes are governed by strict, totalitarian attitudes and measures. Usually, such control tends to exercise harsh measures when their standards of strict obedience are not met. Children from such homes tend to be highly repressed, depressed, at least passively stressed, and often traumatized, and the same is true of people more generally from such societies.
Example of a 7-level Chessboard
So, here is an example of a 7-level chessboard which reveals the level at which a person perceives reality and that of the exercise of power, in this case at more social, political, and collective levels, based on their access to information and knowledge.
-
Mainstream or Legacy Media News
-
Internet -where there exist such resources as independent and alternative media, citizen journalism, documentaries, historical knowledge, and so on… or the open field of human interpretation in general, which does require a discerning journalistic perspective to achieve balance. In other words, the opportunity to cross-check what facts are learned is available and is required to genuinely advance to the next level.
-
Fact Checkers such as Reuters, which represent a relevant next step of investigative journalism. So, beyond one’s own deeper research and cross-checking to verify and validate the information gained, the next step of inquiry includes such resources.
-
Investigation into who or what company owns or funds, and effectively controls the fact checkers. For example, Reuters is owned by the Thompson Reuters Corporation of which the greater shares are owned by the Woodbridge Company Limited. Deep journalism might be interested in investigating the implications of bias or economic interest of companies such as Reuters who also own and control other branches of so-called fact-checker sources. Another example is Facebook’s fact-checking process which has faced criticism and controversy for potential bias and inconsistency.
-
What constitutes the larger network of economic power and potential control of knowledge and information in the world. Historically, this might have been traced to sources such as The Vatican, or possible oligarchic and royal family lineages. More recently, world knowledge and information sources such as the Smithsonian might be investigated and then to determine who owns these companies, the answer of which often emerges as large banks and conglomerates and other private organizations, such as Blackrock and Vanguard, which are noteworthy since they are believed to own most of, or the controlling interests of many of the major corporations in the world, including the media giants, which own most of the apparently independent smaller ones. Further, the investigation into what might be their social and political convictions and agendas, and how might these influence what they deem relevant news to share, daily.
-
Investigation into what the background is, and the main interest, focus, and objectives of the major shareholders of these world banks and conglomerates.
-
Knowledge of large cycles, their implications, their timeline, and purpose, such as the Age of Aquarius, for example, which can be understood to measure large timeframes with specific associated themes that steer the direction of the entire world during that Age.
The irony of this example is that sometimes, even people with a high I.Q. and some even who have higher levels of education, operate from the first level.
This is probably because, despite their intellectual capacities and achievements, they really do not understand power. In this regard, they tend to be naïve, even despite an otherwise strategic mind. In other words, they could prove very skilled at playing chess at the first level, even masterfully, but although rare in our times, they might not have exposure to the second level, or even if they do, their access is not concerned with understanding power so much as it is directed to other interests.
In such cases, they certainly would not have any notion of taking a journalistic approach of conducting fact-checker resources, for example.
On the other hand, let’s say they do go that far, the next question is, how much do they rely on the fact-checkers? If their journalistic aspirations cannot move beyond notions that these might also be… compromised, they might assume that their perspectives are objective and conclusive, and these types could become the most rigid of all.
Also, it’s not necessarily that everyone “should” understand power. But if people engage in commentary and debate with their perceptions shaped only from the first level, then the conversation can only be limited to a narrow bandwidth.
