Tip of the Month:
December is a Universal Master Number 11-Month. Yes, it is the 12th month of the year, but when added to the Universal 8-Year, as with 8 + 1 + 2 = 11. This is symbolic of higher-minded thinking, including a complex weave of intuition and creative, critical thinking, in part associated with both brain hemispheres operating at high levels. Yet, it is likely that the glands in the brain such as the Pineal are also significantly involved.
Positively, number 11 symbolizes the raising of one’s overall mode of perception to encompass holism and the ability to see through and beyond the riddles and paradoxes of duality and materialism.
Negatively, 11 can manifest as unconscious projection and matter-of-fact perceptions whereby people assume they see reality as “it is” as opposed to according to their subjective nature and conditioned beliefs and perspectives.
As well, the influence of 11 can manifest as a nervous, unstable disposition and neurotic attitudes and reactions.
The New Moon in Sagittarius occurs on December 1, or late on November 30 in the west, launching us into December with its firepower. Jupiter in Gemini will contribute to revealing a full spectrum of colors and intrigue. Amplified by Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius where it is deemed challenged in terms of scattered and dispersed perceptions, some will experience it as feeling lost in a forest seeped in fog. Also sharing close association with Neptune in Pisces, it will at best produce an inward and mystical kind of inward retreat. Yet, the combination could manifest as damp and depressing by some. As ever, much depends on our attitudes and expectations. Embracing the deepening dark that December produces is a good bet, unless you have the opportunity to fly off to warmer climates and longer hours of sunlight.
Mercury in Sagittarius is generally more challenging than when in other signs, and this is exacerbated when retrograde (Nov 26 – Dec 15). Venus entering Aquarius (Dec. 7/8) will offer some reprieve, yet with Saturn in Pisces and Uranus in Taurus, the wrecking ball on the older order continues to swing irreverently. Mars also turns retrograde (Dec. 6/7) in Leo, which while it does carry added complexity, it is especially so when in Cancer, which is like a dungeon, or more positively like clearing the dead wood in an old house in preparation for a down-to-the cement and bones renovations, The cycle of Mars Retrograde in Cancer it will begin on January 6/7. Mars will retrograde until February 22/23 to 17 Cancer, and then begin the climb out of it, which will take until April 18, 2025!
All the while, Jupiter in Gemini is also difficult and will remain there until mid-May.
So, we have about a six-month trek through the swampy marshes, so to speak, and our trek has already begun.
Positively, Jupiter in Gemini is kaleidoscopic, yet negatively it tends to manifest as scattered and confused perspectives. The Pisces factor will, at best, inspire higher ideals yet, negatively, it is inclined to manifest as denial and deception of self and others, even as mass deception, and is also symbolic of illusions and delusional perspectives. Fortunately, at the exact moment of the New Moon, Jupiter will occupy a degree that refers to themes of a philosophical and journalistic pursuit of truth and an ardent orientation to realize justice. Venus at 23 Capricorn positively indicates diplomatic resolve, yet also carries the weight of narrow-mindedness and both critical and cynical attitudes. Mars traveling slowly in Leo is also at an edgy degree, and a period of truce might be the best we can hope for.
The Moon waxes to Full on December 15 at 23 Gemini. Due to an applying square to Neptune in Pisces, imaginations could become inflated. Mercury retrograde by this time will station, or appear to be at a standstill adding to its weight of influence prior to turning direct again. It will have arrived at an inspiring trine to Mars in fiery Leo, if dampened somewhat due to its own retrograde process, but still ardent. Although against the current of the Moon entering its waning phase, the combined fire of Sun, Mercury and Mars will prove uplifting as we approach Winter Solstice and the cheery tunes of Christmas.
In the spirit of Sagittarius, casting a broader perspective on it all, these days represent a difficult chapter in the final pages leading to the Age of Aquarius in its full assertion. We have been in the ‘dawning of the Age’ for many years, but it is the sunrise moment slated for the end of this decade that will really activate its full, morning light. With Pluto in Aquarius as of November 19, where it will remain for the next 20 years, the collective challenge to navigate the complex waters implies, has begun. What is not commonly mentioned is that Pluto is considered to be difficult when placed in Aquarius. What it generally implies is the transformation of humanity, and what can be described as the painful birthing process of the merging global village. With AI now in place, it is making the movie ‘The Matrix’ appear increasingly be like a documentary and one guided with prophetic overtones.
As the story goes, pretty much all the planets are in difficult sign positions currently. This is a temporary condition, fortunately. Yet, it is not likely that humanity will slip through this one unscathed. While the emphasis will likely occur at specific locations where the karmic factors are loaded, there is reason to say that we will all feel the impacts of this complex cycle, both directly and indirectly. Following Pluto’s lead entering Aquarius, starting with Neptune entering Aries on March 30, then Saturn following on May 24, then Jupiter entering Cancer on June 9, then Uranus will enter Gemini on June 7.
While there is much to say about all of these factors, the general takeaway is that far planets entering new signs synchronize with large-scale outer changes that influence entire societies, let alone individual people. So, we can expect heightened intrigue and drama as 2024 draws to a close, if in the context of a quieter period, as though temporarily in the calm of the eye of a tropical storm.
When the Sun enters Capricorn marking Winter Solstice, the dynamic will shift to a revolutionary dynamic as people seek answers and deeper truths, both regarding current social and political realities, as well as timeless principles. It could also prove challenging in close, personal relationships as prior perspectives and beliefs about reality and life are transformed. The issue is that not everyone’s prior agreements and shared values are likely to undergo changes that lead to people feeling misunderstood, abandoned, and/or betrayed. However, despite the possible rawness of the process, it could lead people to be more deeply connected than ever before. As well, over the course of 2025 and perhaps especially from Winter Solstice through to Spring Equinox, we will also experience a whole new lineup of actors, players, and other colorful characters.
As ever, these generic themes will not necessarily manifest in these ways in people’s personal lives. This is where Horoscopes can help as they direct the spotlight that much more fully to each of us on more personal levels. Of course, the closest and strongest insights and guidance come from in-person Readings.
Have a great month!

Tip of the Month:
November 2024 is a Universal 1 Month. Technically, because 11 is the primary Master Number, it is more accurate to say that November is a 19 Month, which reduces first to 10, as with 1 + 9 and then to 1, as with 1 + 0. It is symbolic of new beginnings and bold initiatives. Interestingly, because 2025 is a Universal 9 Year, January will also be a Universal 1 Month. Sandwiched in between is December which will be a 20/2 month, symbolic of seeing both a bigger and deeper scope on matters and reality in general. As the count goes, February will be yet another 2 month but derived from Master Number 11.
This double-double dip, so to speak occurs at an important time on the world stage. Generally, it implies a visionary perspective going forward and one that will likely feature major events that will lead us all into an increasingly uncertain future. Not that the future has ever been absolutely clear, but some turns of destiny are more epic and dramatic than others, and this is yet another one that will be placed alongside a whole host of others reaching back especially over the past 30 or so years since the internet became a public and global reality. Among the most significant events currently underway is, of course, the political status in the USA.
Given the current scope of political tension and the fast-approaching and historic U.S. Presidential Election, these themes carry even more weight than usual. The impact of the results of it transcends the borders of the United States alone and the neighboring countries of Canada and Mexico, primarily, but even all the countries of the world are invariably impacted by what occurs in the USA, especially politically and economically.
With Mercury and Venus in fiery, truth-seeking Sagittarius, and Mars in bold, brave, and dramatic Leo, the scope of drama will be riding very high, as should be expected.
Mars in close and hard opposition to Pluto adds a hefty load of TNT to the tenor. That this charged and explosive aspect will be active in the Scorpio New Moon November 1st chart is also extra noteworthy because it means its explosive potential will be present throughout the 29.5 day cycle. Yet, it is the days of its actual opposition that is most significant, which lingers through to November 3 when Mars enters Leo.
So, Mars will be at ‘0’ Leo on the day of the election with the Sun at 13 Scorpio, which, positively, happens to reinforce its heroic posture. The Moon in Capricorn on Election Day – November 5, suggests that the outcome will be decided by who the people believe will be the best for the economy.
Mars will also make two more charged and even lethal opposition aspects (180 degrees) to Pluto literally on January 1st and then almost 5 months later on April 26, 2025, due to its retrograde process. So, this entire dynamic has a six-month process and since Neptune will have moved from Pisces to Aries by the time of the last ‘hit’, we should expect there to be a lot of charge and drama stirring in 2025.
So, the New Moon on November 1st, All Saints Day, at 9 Scorpio 35 carries with it a hidden charge of aggression subject to unscrupulous ambitions. With many planets in difficult signs currently and for the past weeks and months, this has become something of a new norm. It might be described as a massive power grab, yet one which is largely occurring in the shadows and veiled by deliberate distractions. So, we can expect more of this over the coming weeks, especially the time period leading to the Full Moon at 24 Taurus 01 on November 15, the date which happens to be the birth date of the U.S. government, according to some sources. This happens to be the same day that Saturn turns direct after turning retrograde in late June!
Throughout November, Mercury in Sagittarius will progressively slow down and then turn retrograde on November 25, stationing (appearing to be at a standstill) at 22 Sagittarius 40. So, if you have planets or angles in your birth Chart at or close to this degree, especially in the Mutable signs of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces, you will likely feel or experience its impact more strongly. This further indicates that Mercury will be in Sagittarius until January 8, 2025. Mercury in Sagittarius tends to be very philosophical and oriented to higher principles, ethics and truths. A lot of emphasis is also placed on freedom of speech, which has become a major issue as ‘authorities’ strive to censor public opinion. However, Mercury is generally considered difficult in Sagittarius. The main issue is that more attention is directed to attitudes as opposed to facts. In other words, beliefs and social conditioning tend to cloud judgment and people expect others to think as they do.
Meanwhile, Mars will also be progressively slowing down in preparation for it also turning retrograde, which occurs on December 6 at 6 Leo 10, the very same day that Neptune turns direct after turning retrograde back on July 1st. So, if you have planets at or near this degree, especially in the Fixed signs of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius, you will likely feel or experience its impact more strongly. Mars will eventually retrograde back into Cancer, a difficult sign position until April 18, 2025! Negatively, Mars in Cancer can prove edgy, aggressive, harsh and abusive, sometimes even brutally so. Positively, Mars in Cancer can prove very constructive, especially in terms of renovation projects.
Pluto re-entering Aquarius on November 19 is also extra noteworthy as it will commence its 20-year journey through the sign of the Water Bearer. Over the course of this time, we can expect that humanity as a whole will undergo a process of revolutionary transformation. There is much to be said of this theme and will be over the coming weeks, months, and even years as the closer play-by-play dynamics subject to interactions with other planets are brought into closer view.
So, astrologically, November 2024 is packed with power plays, intrigue, and drama subject to dismissals, delays, deliberate distractions, reversals, and secrecy. The Sun entering Sagittarius on November 21 will not likely be able to offset these Scorpionic themes, due to the dynamics of planetary retrograde activity and planets in difficult signs. Completing the month with a bang, a New Moon in Sagittarius occurs on November 30 or during the early hours of December 1 in the Eastern and Central time zones at 9 Sagittarius 03. More attention to it will be illumined closer to that date in the Weekly Horoscopes and Horoscope for the month of December.
Have a great month!

Tip of the Month:
October 2024 is a Universal 9-Month, symbolic of endings, completions, and graduations on one hand, and of humanitarian awareness on the other. Like planting bulbs in autumn, it marks a time of thinking about the new cycle of the coming year.
Astrologically, it hosts a Solar Eclipse on October 2 at 10 Libra 04, which will culminate as the Full Moon on October 17 at 24 Aries 26.
It is important to realize that the influences of an eclipse, especially a Solar Eclipse, tend to occur prior to the actual event, yet more like foreshadows, or hints or what can be described as early signs and warm-ups leading to the full-blown outer manifestations.
Given the fact that a very important and historic Presidential Election race is underway in the United States, this eclipse can be understood to be especially important. How any eclipse will affect any given person depends on their own chart. This is always true in Astrology. It always comes down to the relationship between an event and any given ‘person’ or ‘legal entity’ (country, state, province, territory, official organization, institution or company).
There are also distinct differences in effect between a Solar and a Lunar Eclipse. The basic rule of thumb for interpreting eclipses is as follows:
Solar Eclipse is the BIG event, the true ‘super moon’. Solar Eclipses are more external with outer effects producing CHANGE based on events appearing to occur externally and randomly. Lunar Eclipses are more internal and suggest how we subjectively think or feel about things. Of course, our inner reflections can lead to outer choices. Yet, the effect comes from within and do not manifest so much as outer events, aside from those that occur due to reactive, or with awareness, intentional behaviors.
Lunar Eclipses that strongly trigger key points in one’s Birth Chart tend to activate changes of perception, belief, and other emotionally charged perspectives. Yet, at least sometimes, a person has to be self-aware and self-honest to recognize the shifts occurring, which are otherwise unacknowledged and relegated to their murky, confused, largely unconscious, inner subjective stream of thoughts and feelings.
How the eclipse makes aspects to planets at the time of the eclipse, and to Fixed Stars, especially by conjunction, are other key factors, as features of the ‘whole chart’ perspective. In both cases, the closer the aspect, the stronger the effect tends to be. However, the chart taken as a whole can produce bridges, so to speak, with other planets, so determining the overall impact is not strictly a linear process since the chart ever-operates as a whole, determined by the placements of the ever-moving planets at the exact moment of the event.
Below is a breakdown of the October 2nd Sun/Moon conjunction (New Moon) occurring at 10 Libra 04, making aspects to other planets:
The Solar Eclipse Conjunct Mercury is at 11 Libra 32 (so just a degree and a half away and conjunct, is the strongest indicator of new activations.)
The inner influence of this overall aspect shares an association with Aquarius and its ruling planet Uranus, which happens to be currently in Taurus, where it can prove bullish, irreverent, and unscrupulous due to unchecked ambitions and greed. It can also be compared to a wrecking ball used to tear down an old building.
This aspect involving the Moon generally equates to, thoughts, perspectives, intuition, and imaginations triggered and activated. Thoughts and speech are strongly linked with emotions leading people to speak with unchecked emotion, speaking their mind and heart, often uncensored. The ability to empathetically and telepathically sense other people’s thoughts is also heightened.
This aspect involving the Sun generally equates to enjoying communication exchanges and intellectual stimulation. People seek avenues through which to communicate their ideas. Communications tend to be forceful and subjective leading to more fully ‘speaking at others’ with less interest in listening and dialogue exchanges.
The Solar Eclipse Square Mars at 15 Cancer 48 (Square is a 90-degree aspect and is symbolic of a ‘hard turn’ with the combined forces at cross purposes.)
While the orb of this aspect is pretty wide, when the Sun and Moon (luminaries) are involved, the ‘orb’ (degrees of proximity) can be as large as 10 degrees!
The inner influence of this aspect shares an association with Capricorn and Scorpio. With Saturn in Pisces, and Pluto at 29 Capricorn, the combined influence impliesdisintegration and chaos. Mars is already difficult in Cancer when it comes to edgy emotions due to tendencies to be harsh as it activates orientations to ‘get to the bottom of things’.
This aspect involving the Moon generally manifests as quick-tempered, intolerant, impatience and irritability, so be aware and watch for this overall tone and its eventful manifestations.
This aspect involving the Sun generally equates to high energy and enthusiasm. Taking risks is common yet can prove to be over-charged, reckless, and accident-prone. There can be difficulty in discerning the difference between assertion and aggression. Positively, people are assertive and frank in simply stating their own perspectives or case clearly, yet others may deem them to be pushy and even aggressive. You need to find a healthy outlet for your enthusiasm and energy.
The Solar Eclipse Conjunct the Lunar South Node (Eclipses always occur due to their close proximity to the South or North Node of the Moon which are deep and significant ‘symbolic’ points in Astrology, where the orbit of the Moon from our geocentric position crosses the plane of the ecliptic, the apparent path of the Sun.)
In Natal Astrology, planets conjunct the South Node, are generally deemed to reveal some degree of difficult or negative karma. There tends to be obsession and excess associated with the planets involved. The destined goal is to become aware of and consciously release the excesses implied, the process of which often takes many decades, amounting to at least 40 years, but can often prove problematic throughout a person’s entire life and, if not resolved, will carry forward to their next incarnation. Since a Solar Eclipse includes both the Sun and Moon, the combined factors are that much more complex, yet we are dealing with a generic event in this case as opposed to assessing the Natal Chart of any given person.
This aspect involving the Moon generally manifests as heightened sensitivity with a tendency to learn from experience rather than through books. Experience teaches people to harness their emotions for the betterment of self and others. Yet, there is a need to let go of past hurts and grudges or sentimental attachments in order to move on. Ideally, there is an attitude forgiving and forgetting, but this does not tend to occur quickly, if at all. Opportunities will arise, yet there is also the need to summon the wisdom and courage to embrace them.
This aspect involving the Sun generally implies challenges in expressing one’s true potential, but persistence is also likely. It is time to take new leads and be willing to learn from trial and error and to break free of tendencies to procrastinate or become attached to the past.
The October 2, 2024 Solar Eclipse – Aspects to 3 of the 4 main Feminine Asteroids:
Sextile Pallas positioned at 7 Sagittarius 48 (Sextile is a 60-degree aspect generally associated with social opportunity.)
The inner influence of this overall aspect shares an association with Pisces and Neptune which is currently positioned at the last degree of Pisces, revealing an inner connection with Uranus in Taurus, so it too is associated with disintegration and chaos.
This aspect involving the Moon generally emphasizes a strategic intelligence and an instinctive need to retreat and formulate a plan before making any emotional leaps of faith.
This aspect involving the Sun generally implies an assertive, alert, and intelligent approach to take a creative lead to fulfill a sense of social duty.
Conjunct Juno (wide) at 18 Libra 49
The inner influence of this overall aspect shares an association with Aquarius and Taurus, which are both Fixed Modality signs. Uranus rules Aquarius and is in Venus-ruled Taurus with Venus at 11 Scorpio 48. Together, these influences suggest a passionate, yet possibly obsessive resolve supported by seductive charm and manipulation.
This aspect involving the Moon combined with Juno, the domestic Goddess of the Zodiac, highlights an orientation towards domestic warmth, harmony and nurturing, for example through food, get-togethers, and general conviviality. Generally speaking this combination indicates the aspiration to meet emotional needs through warm and emotional connections with others.
This aspect involving the Sun generally implies a proactive determination to be mature, sincere, and understanding guided by diplomacy and fairness, which puts others at ease.
Square Ceres at 11 Capricorn 16
The inner influence of this overall aspect reveals a strong association with Taurus and Venus once again. Especially with Venus in Scorpio, relationships with women tend not to flow easily due to misunderstandings of their intent and actual feelings.
This aspect involving the Moon generally implies disappointments due to a lack of empathy and compassion or perhaps a sense of loss can hinder your attempts to be loving and compassionate.
This aspect involving the Sun generally implies difficulties connecting with feelings of concern. for others
SUMMARY
As destiny has it, the next Solar Eclipse occurs on March 29, 2025 at very close to exactly the opposite degree in Aries, the polar opposite sign of Libra. So, there is a big destined theme associated with these signs and about the 10th degree. If you happen to have planets or angles at this degree in any sign, you will likely experience the impact. If those degrees are in any of the Cardinal Signs, Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, the influence will be that much more powerful. They basically imply change and the perennial challenge is to positively respond and adapt, and this current Solar Eclipse on October 2, 2024 will be the first trigger.
In the “Sibley Chart” for the United States (based on historical documents revealing final amendments and official signatures occurring at 5:10 pm in Philadelphia Pennsylvania on July 4, 1776), this October 2nd eclipse occurs in the 10th House of public and professional life and of governments implying changes. Given the U.S. Presidential Election race, this makes even more sense. That the eclipse will be applying to a conjunction with Saturn, and applying to a square to the Sun suggests heavy feelings and hard turns. Positively, a Sextile to the Sagittarius Ascendant which is ruled by Jupiter in Cancer is suggestive of the opportunity to create a whole new sense of confidence. This is reinforced by a Sextile to the Lunar North Node at 6 Leo 35, which supports opportunities for much-needed change and, due to other factors, what can be described as a process of rebirth and rebuilding based on a revolutionary process.
The general timeframe of influence of this specific eclipse can be better understood to endure for the duration of the influence of the eclipse, which is about 6 months. However, if and when subsequent events trigger the degree point of the eclipse, the themes implied can be reactivated, especially if the events occur sequentially from one to the next. Since the Solar Eclipses on March 29, 2025 at 9 Aries 0 occurs sequentially and it also can be understood to effectively have a ‘six month shelf life’, so to speak, the themes and events being activated now can be understood have at least a year of residual influences.
Even other events beyond the sequential time rhythm occur within relatively close proximity, it can be said that they will tend to ‘resound the bell’ as the metaphor goes. Due to the gravity of current events in our complex and rapidly changing times, however, it is worth looking both back and forward a bit to determine what other events occurred close to this degree of 10 Libra. In this regard, consider the following dates which will prospectively perpetuate the themes being activated now. Admittedly, one could also go back in time to determine if there were earlier Solar Eclipses within a degree of this one at 10 Libra 04. I will list the ones reaching back to the turn of the millennium (year 2000) and forward a bit as well to inspire willing students and scholars to take a close look, perhaps especially with emphasis on how these Solar Eclipse events configure in the Birth Chart(s) of the United States.
Search Date Range of “Solar Eclipses” from Jan 2, 2000 to December 31, 2033 corresponding to the degree of this October 2, 2024 eclipse. Each of these events can be understood to have influences for a few weeks prior and about 6 months following these dates.
July 1, 2000 – 10° Cancer 14′
October 3, 2005 – 10° Libra 18′
August 1, 2008 – 09° Leo 31
July 1, 2011 – 09° Cancer 12′
July 2 2019 – 10° Cancer 37′
October 2, 2024 – 10° Libra 04
March 29, 2025 – 09° Aries 0
August 2, 2027 – 09° Leo 55
June 1, 2030 – 10° Gemini 49′
March 30, 2033 – 10° Aries 22’
The Role of Fixed Stars by Conjunction to the Sun/Moon Eclipse
The eclipsed Sun also aligns with two Fixed Stars: Vindemiatrix and Porrima.
Vindemiatrix tends to manifest as impulsiveness, wanton folly, indiscretion, foolishness, scandalous actions, criticism, depression, and yet, ironically, leadership ability. On the other hand, Porrima tends to manifest as a courteous, refined and lovable character with prophetic instincts and an aptitude for understanding deep realities. What is also ironic about this is that they are very closely aligned by degree, yet have very different influences. Like the scales of Libra swaying to and fro, we will experience, feel and witness the influences of and observe the expressions of these stars for as long as six months until the next solar eclipse spring 2025.
Other Planetary Positions and Roles Associated with the October 2, 2024 Solar Eclipse
Mercury and Venus moving quickly now, reveal Mercury racing through Libra and Scorpio by month’s end. With Venus in Scorpio, there will be a good deal of discussion around the darkness, evil and corruption in the world which seems to be escalating daily.
Marsin Cancer meanwhile will push to get to the bottom of things, while Jupiter retrograde in Gemini will leave many feeling scattered and confused.
The Sun tends to be difficult in Libra. Venus is difficult in Scorpio. Mars is difficult in Cancer. Jupiter is difficult in Gemini, Saturn is difficult in Pisces, Uranus is difficult in Taurus and these are all the current sign positions for these planets.
Beyond the scope of influence of the Solar Eclipse, this is not an easy time in the world. These last years leading to the official sunrise moment of the Age of Aquarius, the ‘dawning’ of which we are in the final stages is the deeper rationale behind what can be described as a global crisis, or the birth pains of the emerging global village. Patience, kindness and compassion will prove extra helpful and blessings will be experienced by those who extend these human virtues to others.
Have a great month!

October will lead you to dig deeply to get to the roots of matters. Eager to receive clear answers, you will likely find yourself having to do your own research. Expect to be busy and to take a deep dive.

A shift to the cultivation of your sense of individuality is underway, but it is not an obvious process. Perseverance through this complex phase will require patience, but you should see results before the month’s end.

Tip of the Month:
September is a Universal 17/8 month. 8 is symbolic of power and abundance and of the competitive game of life associated with the challenges associated with obtaining it. Discipline and strategy are keywords and derived from the addition of 1, and 7 implies research and investigation to proceed with hard facts as opposed to hopes and wishes. This aligns well with Virgo, the sign of critical analysis, and which is strongly associated with engineering.
The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars all entering new signs will contribute to a busy, lively, and animated month.
The New Moon in Virgo occurs on September 2, the Full Moon in Pisces on the 17th, and Autumn Equinox on the 22nd.
In the bigger picture, the recent Mars/Jupiter conjunction that occurred on August 14 at 16 Gemini 40 hosts a complex dynamic. While the event of the conjunction is now complete, it was just the beginning, as is true of all conjunctions since they mark the beginning of a new cycle between the two planets involved. In the whole or holistic perspective, the exact position of every other planet and their inter-relationships is the feature of any conjunction, or seed event producing a new cycle. The fact that all the planets together are never in the same inter-relational dynamic twice means that every new cycle is ultimately unique. The foundational patterns are similar, but the whole chart is always new. This reveals a complex more sophisticated than chess played at a master’s level.
Mars and Jupiter constitute a dynamic duo. The planet of action (Mars) combined with that of increase and expansion (Jupiter) can support the super drive to achieve great things. It could be characterized as an Olympian aspect. Of course, the expansion or assertive increase could prove aggressive, as well. How these energies are harnessed is subject to the finer details of our individual destinies subject to many layers of influencing factors. The fact that the conjunction was featured in what is called a Grand Square aspect pattern with the Moon in close opposition indicates dramatic events with spurious expressions.
These themes will come to fruition at the quarter and full turns of the dynamic shared between both planets over the 28-month cycle. Ironically, although Mars usually travels more quickly, due to it turning retrograde, this first quarter or square will only occur in early September 2025! Then the Opposition will occur in early January 2026. Yet, the first event, the conjunction, has already occurred on August 14 indicative of themes associated with the need for cooperative efforts and group achievements.
Closer to date, Pluto re-enters Capricorn on September 1 for its final sojourn through the sign of governments. Pluto in any sign indicates transformation and it entered Capricorn in 2008… It should be quite evident by now of the synchronicities of this event.
The September 2nd New Moon at 10 Virgo will stimulate the responsible and professional expression of talents with creative flair and flexibility. I will bring more attention to it in the Horoscope for that week from the perspective of each sign. Yet, it implies some measure of breaking with tradition, so be open to new angles of approach. As ever, knowing the 1 or 2 other signs to read, determined by your time of birth will support deeper accuracy and clarity. If you do not know which yours are, send me an email.
The Moon will wax to Full by September 17 with the Moon applying to Neptune, promising a dreamy and mystical theme, or one that could be quite the opposite as with the churning of the oceans by the illusive and mysterious Sea God archetype. I imagine we will generally experience both, as with the eerie quiet before the storm or when in the eye of it, and then the hurricane force ravaging common at this time of year, especially since geoengineering has been developed. Saturn in Pisces, the sign position of disintegration of form and structure, is contributing to this overall dynamic.
Autumn Equinox on the 22nd implies a collective deep dive to be aware and informed. Much of the orientation is likely to be directed to the social and especially the political arena. A heightened sensitivity to words and symbols will be more apparent. As well, the aspiration also transcends the more common and mundane orientations and delves into the realms of history, perhaps even ancient history, philosophy, psychology, spirituality, and metaphysics. This trend will continue strongly throughout autumn. I will bring more attention to this theme closer to date.
Have a great month!

August

Tip of the Month:
The New Moon occurs on August 4 at 12 Leo 33. Venus and Neptune at the critical 29th degrees of Leo and Pisces respectively, and Pluto hovering at 0 degrees Aquarius, all lend to an overall complex lunation cycle. It occurs in context to other complexities as well, so it should be quite clear what August generally implies.
Of course, life occurs on many levels and the emphasis of these themes are largely that of the larger social dynamic, and the human condition, in general. Positively, from complexity comes artistry and genius.
August is a Universal 16/7 month. In Numerology, 16 is symbolic of the will, creative intelligence, and sense of responsibility to take a deeper dive into investigation and research and to understand matters better. It can also be described as an ardent sense of truth guided by a moral obligation to set the record straight, whatever the specific focus. The challenge includes the will, strength, and ability to allow new perspectives to refine or altogether replace existing ones. 16 is also categorized as one of the 4 karmic numbers implying that the pressures to be mature and responsible come from within, and outer circumstances tend to be rather swift if the task is evaded. It also implies what can be described as a relentless process, ensuring that the lesson is learned well.
Astrologically, this theme and destined process is indicated by Mercury and Venus in critical-analysis Virgo. Mercury entered its ruling sign on July 26 and Venus will do so on August 5, just as Mercury stations (appears to stop) prior to turning retrograde. By August 7, Mercury will conjunct Venus, while retrograde, forming a complex mini cycle that will last just over 7 months when on March 11, 2025, they will once again form a conjunction in Aries with Venus taking its turn as the retrograde planet.
Mercury/Venus conjunctions in a person’s Natal Chart are symbolically indicative of heightened creative abilities. When one or both planets are retrograde, the overall theme becomes more complex. In turn, the sign they are in, the exact degree and aspects made to other planets all contribute to the finer details of the overall theme. In this case, Mercury is very well placed in its own ruling sign of Virgo. So, the retrograde cycle in and of itself, in association with Virgo, can be understood to be strong and positive. Venus in Virgo, however, is not so well placed and tends to produce what can be described as a sour and/or bitter flavour compared to its more common pleasant sweetness.
Mercury will then re-enter Leo on August 14 and complete its retrograde cycle there until August 28. Mercury is not so well placed in Leo and the issue is exacerbated when it is retrograde. The tendency is for people to become inordinately identified with their perceptions and opinions. Mercury will remain in Leo, until September 9, gaining speed and momentum all the while. During this time, the Sun will have entered Virgo on August 22.
Adding to the plot, Mars will form a conjunction with Jupiter at 16 Gemini also on August 14 to begin a 27-month cycle. That exact degree also reveals a complex theme that will color the entire cycle which can be described as an excited, energetic, edgy determination to get to the heart of the matter in terms of truth and justice, whatever its focus. Since the exact time of the conjunction will occur with Venus, Saturn, and the Moon all in hard aspect, forming what is called a Grand Square, it significantly contributes to the potency of this seed event activating the entire cycle.
At month’s end, Pluto prepares its re-entry back into Capricorn for its last passage through the last degree of Capricorn completing the cycle that began in late January 2008! Capricorn is symbolic of governments and the social order in general while Pluto is symbolic of themes of regeneration and transformation. Take a moment to reflect upon just how much the world has changed since that time! It was 2008 when the real estate bubble burst and the economy began to change drastically and has continued ever since.
By the last day of August, just as Pluto re-enters Capricorn for its denouement, Uranus will turn retrograde, joining Saturn, Chiron, Neptune, and Pluto, Venus will enter Libra, and Mercury will turn direct again in Leo. The themes associated with retrograde planets essentially imply the deepening of destined themes, especially if they initially formed an exact aspect with a planet in your Birth Chart. But all of that is for another time, unless I hear from you personally to examine how these dynamics are activating your personal themes of destiny.
Have a great month!

Aries (Mar 21-Apr 19)
A more playful and energetic cycle is underway, at the forefront. In the background, critical thinking, and analysis to understand and integrate themes of ending and disintegration indicate a more complex layer to the plot.
Taurus (Apr 20-May 20)
Home is where your heart is, especially this month. Naturally, family dynamics are featured. Creative improvements are a central focus and will likely be directed to both relationships and home.
Gemini (May 21-Jun 20)
Variety is the spice, and you are determined to get your share at this turn. On one hand, a weave of social activities is directing your focus. Meanwhile, inspired by existing beauty, you are moved to create more.
Cancer (June 21 – Jul 22)
A review of what and who is most important to you is a current focus. This focus will likely enter more complex waters as the month progresses. Get ready for a deeper dive than you have perhaps done for a while. Summon the courage to be true to your heart.
Leo (Jul 23-Aug 22)
An assertive, even punchy lead supported by sober, critical thinking is indicated this month, a trend that will become progressively stronger. You will assess the worth and value of multiple considerations.
Virgo (Aug 23-Sep 22)
Although you are happy to remain busy behind the scenes, you will also be more outwardly expressive than usual. Your focus will be guided by practicality, and making improvements to uplift and beautify is emphasized.
Libra (Sep 23-Oct 22)
Stepping into a new version of yourself, a new sense of individuality is a source of excitement. A significant change in your lifestyle is also indicated. You feel a new sense of freedom, but if anything is blocking it, you will confront it, assertively.
Scorpio (Oct 23-Nov 21)
A breakthrough in your public and professional life is imminent. It could also manifest as an apparent breakdown if you are resistant to the noticeable changes that are destined to occur at this time.
Sagittarius (Nov 22-Dec 21)
You are in an adventurous mood. Yet, practical considerations are also featured. With strategic awareness and determination, achieving both is possible. Some edgy factors are also lingering so aim to be more patient and diplomatic.
Capricorn (Dec 22-Jan 19)
A deep and potentially complex cycle is underway. Its purpose is to push you to reconsider your priorities. Fortunately, a philosophical mood is supporting a wider perspective. Either way, it will require some extra effort.
Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 18)
A new sense of excitement on relationship fronts is brewing. It does involve some complexities requiring deeper analysis. Aim to be true to your intuitions and not simply pay lip service to choices you feel cautious about making.
Pisces (Feb 19-Mar 20)
A creative dynamic to fix, repair, refine, and improve has entered the next phase, which could prove even deeper than the recent one. Fortunately, you are in the mood to do what it takes to get to the bottom of things.
July is a 15/6 Universal Month. It hosts themes of relationships deepening while others end or are restricted regarding the amount of time given to them.
This influence implies a provocative, playful energy.
The Sun joins Mercury and Venus in mothering nurturing, familial Cancer. So, the energies support family quality time, yet they are contending with more complex themes of change in the larger background.
Mercury and Venus in Leo and Mars and Uranus in Taurus will support a steady, consistent pace.
The bigger excitement of the summer will begin in early July when Mercury enters Leo and escalate as Venus enters mid-month then the Sun on July 22.
Mercury in Leo is playful and showy in a spirited way, like that of entertainment performances and sports displays of excellence and Venus deepens the emphasis that much more, just in time for the Summer Olympics.
Mars entering Gemini on July 20, just ahead of the Sun entering its own sign will serve to raise the energy bar quite noticeably. This will amplify Mercury’s influence that much more, so it could well amount to some very impressive achievements. Mercury will enter Virgo on July 27, just days after the Olympic Games begin. Positively, Virgo is the sign of health and beauty, and Mercury is in honor there, so it aligns well with the showy side, reserved for much of the prior events leading up to the official opening, to have its time then the energy will shift somewhat to a more humble and sober focus.
Of course, Venus will still be in Leo until August 4, so the fires will continue to burn brightly.
Venus will enter Virgo on August 4, where it is not so well positioned, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out in terms of synchronicities. All being well, the Sun in Leo will blaze bright enough to override these challenges.
On a final note, the phase of the Moon on the exact moment of Summer Solstice, which reveals background themes and influences for the entire summer, was in waxing and in a placement that indicates fun in the sun and play, dance, and some of the moods we yearn for during the warmer months. Keywords include radiance, full-bodied expression, sexuality, enjoyment of life, creativity, and adventurousness. There is a provocative theme of the Shakti force that could prove controlling, at worst, unless redirected into artistic activity. Yet, there is a sweetness in this energy that reveals the brighter side of the human heart to want to uplift and be uplifted. So, tap into that spirit and embrace this window opportunity to enjoy life fully.
You will be happy to huddle in close to home for much of July. Time with family and in the garden perhaps. The Sun in Leo on July 22 accompanied by Mars in Gemini will shift your mood, yet the drama quotient could also rise.
Taurus (Apr 20-May 20)
A busy pace in June spills over into July and it can be expected to keep going well into August. With deliberate time management, you could get a lot done. Balancing the focus between business and pleasure is ever the ideal.
Gemini (May 21-Jun 20)
Whether by blood or close friendship, you are getting clear on who is most important to you. This trend will linger for a few weeks so fill your tanks. A spirit of adventure to explore new horizons and perspectives will steadily increase.
Cancer (June 21 – Jul 22)
The energetic shift around the Solstice carries on into July. It is inspiring or pushing you to enter new territory somehow. This can include new modes of expression, even a change of pace and scenery altogether, which could feel overdue.
Leo (Jul 23-Aug 22)
An inward draw to be more creatively productive that began about mid-month in June continues as July begins. The creative impulse will rise progressively through the month so focus to harness its full potential.
Virgo (Aug 23-Sep 22)
Your sense of individuality has been steadily rising accompanying an adventurous spirit. The focus will shift progressively to a more introverted, creative emphasis. It could prove to be a busy time of heightened productivity.
Libra (Sep 23-Oct 22)
Shifts and turns close to home and involving family should already be evident. These are possibly large enough to affect your overall living situation and perhaps your status and career. There are supportive factors at play, but change is here.
Scorpio (Oct 23-Nov 21)
Hopefully, the complex twists of last month have subsided. Contributing factors culminating with solstice could have coincided with a period of increased calm. Returns for prior efforts are even indicated.
Sagittarius (Nov 22-Dec 21)
In the bigger picture you have entered an expansive cycle involving increased social opportunities. Yet, you have now entered a rather deep cycle. Positively, it will prove regenerative, yet includes the need to cleanse and purge.
Capricorn (Dec 22-Jan 19)
Family affairs that became more prominent mid-way last month, continue as July begins. Bigger changes in the background may be a cause of sustained worry and anxiety. Let go of notions of control where it does not exist.
Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 18)
The shift into Cancer last month might have activated events lending to needed changes. Adjustment emphasizing improvement is highlighted. Positively, a playful, adventurous, and creative influence is also present.
Pisces (Feb 19-Mar 20)
An emphasis on home and family is especially strong for you. It is inviting opportunities to exercise and reveal some of your genuine talents. Larger projects could require more effort than you bargained for, so aim for completion before starting new ones.
In a Universal 8 Year, June is a 14/5 month, symbolic of the quest for new knowledge and experiences.
In Numerology, 14 is considered a karmic number. The main issue is ‘excess’ or ‘exaggeration’ requiring discernment, restraint, poise, and temperance. In this powerful 8-Year and combined with the Lunar Year of the Dragon according to Chinese Astrology, it is destined to pack an extra punch. Looking back over the years, it would take a lot to top what has gone down on a global scale or at least has sent ripples all to the farthest reaches.
With Jupiter now in Gemini as of May 25, joining forces with Sun and Venus there, and by June 3, Mercury chiming in as well, the socializing atmosphere and mood associated with the influence of the Gemini air element is steadily increasing.
Jupiter in Gemini is a challenging placement and among the greatest challenges is people becoming both mentally and emotionally ‘unraveled’, so to speak. Another appropriate term to describe its potential negative influence is ‘fragmentation’, which can be understood as an overload of disparate thoughts and perspectives, thus a challenge to feel centered.
Some have certainly experienced this year as extra challenging already, but it is hardly over yet. There is much afoot that is changing the world both quickly and on a global scale. Most people are probably somewhat aware, but the wide array of information sources comes with the downside of scattering public knowledge and opinion.
In sync with Saturn and Neptune in the disintegrating sign of Pisces, old borders are dissolving, and a global village is emerging. That some are pushing for this can probably be categorized as all part of the plot. How any of us are moved to respond, is a feature of our destiny, which ideally engages to raise to its highest levels.
Of course, not everyone believes in the influences of destiny, but those who have deeply studied Astrology can see it clearly at play. This clear evidence is certainly true at an individual level. It is also true at collective, and national levels, yet due to the increased complexities, these are less immediately evident, requiring a very astute and current awareness of the larger dynamics at play. This is called Mundane Astrology or the Astrology of Nations.
In the bigger picture, the ‘old world’ or what was ‘not so long ago’, or the ‘modern world’ is dissolving into the ultra-modern. This can be understood as a feature of the Age of Aquarius which suggests that information wars will achieve unprecedented levels. In some regards, focusing on the human condition from the perspective of the great Astrological Ages, each of which consists of 2160 years, based on the average of the division of the 26,920-year cycle it comprises. As it is in alignment with current planetary cycles and their synchronistic expressions, it points to an increase in espionage, information theft, and foreign political interference with computers…, not to mention the uncertainties associated with AI.
Yet, the drama must find expression somehow.
Our world as a school for souls reveals that drama is intimately woven into the plot. Hoping that it will all end sometime soon is understandable, yet idealistic and even naïve. For among other reasons, due to the combination of human nature, the human condition, and the Law of Change, how could it not be so? For us at individual levels and in association with our intimate networks of family, friends, and neighbors…, we are challenged to navigate our way within it all, while achieving our goals, fulfilling our destiny, and perpetuating health and happiness, all while navigating the complex social dynamics.
This is what life has always been about and it is quite safe to say – always will be. This is where I can help you supported by the archetypal tools of Astrology and Numerology. On that Note, there is still time to join me for my nextMasterclass: Numerology for Life, on Saturday, June 1st. Even if you are reading this after the fact, the class is recorded and can be taken on its own, or it also includes subsequent mini-classes, all of which will be recorded also. You can choose either the introduction Masterclass without the follow-ups or dive into the whole series and awaken to how insightful and relevant a tool it is.
Due to the Gemini stellium, a busy month ahead intellectually and socially is forecasted. Jupiter there indicates that this party will go on and on… Mars still in your sign indicates an assertive push to enter new territory.
Taurus (Apr 20-May 20)
Just when you thought you couldn’t be much busier, a whole new array of tasks and projects are adding up on your growing to-do list. Positively, contrary to feeling overwhelmed, tackling them will boost your confidence.
Gemini (May 21-Jun 20)
A dynamic surge accompanying the stellium in your sign will hit stride early this month. Jupiter especially indicates an expansive and adventurous theme that will continue for its entire year cycle, inspiring new creative interests.
Cancer (June 21 – Jul 22)
While others are eager to engage socially and keep busy on a variety of fronts, you likely feel drawn inward. This mood will deepen initially, then linger for a while, but it will shift again into a more assertive momentum by Solstice.
Leo (Jul 23-Aug 22)
Gemini time is already and will continue to activate your sense of individuality. It marks an inventive cycle that can be harnessed to outline, and design works of originality and even of genius, if you can steady your focus.
Virgo (Aug 23-Sep 22)
The Gemini influences will push you to be that much more practical, realistic, and productive. There is a theme of contracted expansion at play, which means visionary action guided by focus and discipline.
Libra (Sep 23-Oct 22)
Gemini time for you implies a time of philosophical perspective, and it will be amplified this year. With Jupiter traveling through its own solar zone, its 12+ month cycle could produce a whole new spectrum of perspectives and realizations.
Scorpio (Oct 23-Nov 21)
The strong Gemini factor now and over the coming months is destined to push you to be more sober and realistic. The time has come to break free of unrealistic ideals, denials, and unhealthy habits for the sake of achieving important goals.
Sagittarius (Nov 22-Dec 21)
Your relationship life, both personally and professionally is destined to undergo a boost that has already begun and will increase measurably. With your sights set on the future, you will assert your focus accordingly, to consider new possibilities. Expect to socialize more, a trend which is already building momentum.
Capricorn (Dec 22-Jan 19)
The strong Gemini theme is likely to produce mixed results and reviews. Positively, your ability to focus on the details is increasing. Negatively, these very details could prove undesired. Aim for the sweet spot.
Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 18)
Gemini is a member of your element family so its influence is destined to be creatively inspiring and uplifting. Expect to take new initiatives on a variety of fronts including your perceptions and attitude, and you could even begin a new career.
Pisces (Feb 19-Mar 20)
Gemini time marks a period when expressing a wider scope of your talents becomes more natural. This will prove especially true and linger longer than usual thanks to Jupiter’s generous contributions.
In a Universal 8 Year, May is a 13/4 month symbolic of completions, endings, graduations, deaths, and transformational processes in general.
This is quite a contrast to what we might usually expect at peak spring. In the Tarot, 13/4 shares association with the Aries-ruled Emperor, the 4th Major Arcana, the 13 Death card aptly associated with Scorpio The Fool which like a clasp on the chain, occupies both the enigmatic 0, symbolizes the spiritual nature of the soul who, (as the story goes in the Major Arcana of the Tarot) reveals a spiritual, evolutionary journey, also corresponds to 22, the Master Builder number of Numerology.
Yes, Astrology, Numerology, and Tarot are not simply closely related, they are intrinsically so. In fact, it may be said that the Tarot is the divine child of the marriage between Mother Astrology and Father Numerology. A core feature of the logic behind the overall structure of the Tarot is the Tree of Life from the mystical teachings of the Kabballah which reveals dimensional layers above the physical plane, to which we are always intimately and intrinsically connected.
This understanding is foundational to spiritual science, yet modern material science has all but dismissed it, and, despite the advantages on the material level, our world has declined in many ways, perhaps most obviously, in terms of our spiritual connection to the source of life. On the other hand, the revolutionary posture of modern science has served to break many people the world over free from the belief-driven, trance-inducing tendencies of religion.
This revolutionary process phase of the human condition is not over yet, but all being well, spiritual science will rise to increase our connection to the source of life, however one may wish to define it, in more intelligent and sophisticated ways than the often banal or hysteria or fear-driven belief convictions of most organized religions whereby advocates seek to ‘be saved’.
Returning to the Astrological forecast for May…
Mercury and Venus joining the Sun, Jupiter, and Uranus – ALL in Taurus for most of the month will, at the more basic level manifest as the usual emphasis on gardening and home repairs. On another level, themes of value and revaluation are likely. Directing attention to latent talents as ends in themselves or as side hustles to meet the demands of the changing economy are other themes. Innovative thinking is also featured.
Mars in Aries will contribute to a fiery and dynamic impulse but could also prove quite aggressive and even belligerent.
By month’s end, Jupiter will enter Gemini to begin its 1-year cycle. In the short term, it will contribute to Mercury, Venus, and the Sun in Gemini through much of June. When in the sign of the twins, Jupiter’s influences can prove social and animated, if scattering.
Among the wider-angle themes of this Taurus stellium is the social revolution directly associated with the economy and with food production and farming.
At worst, it appears that corrupting influences are at play. Since disrupting supply chains, as with food, is an ancient military tactic, those who assert that such power plays are underway could be on to something. Of course, there is little consensus and since a core feature of the Age of Aquarius includes information wars, it is quite understandable that depending on what one’s source of information is, there is likely to be a strong slant in their perspectives.
This is where critical thinking is required to curb credulity. So, what is your source of information and how genuine do you think it is? Assuming that ‘the news’ is indeed THE NEWS is the new naivety. I will address some of these themes in my upcoming Horoscope for the Week for May and the video presentation of Insights, Inspiration, and Forecast for May 2024.
On a final note, may the May Force…, of growth, beauty, and grounded, intelligent, creative, and critical thinking, be with you!
Mars now in your sign will activate a dynamic push forward. Your focus will prove practical, yet your patience levels may not be running high. With Saturn in Pisces, starting major new projects or investments is not advised.
Taurus (Apr 20-May 20)
Despite the need to attend to unfinished business behind the scenes, a determined push to enter new territory is likely. Expect to be busy on a variety of fronts as you direct your skill and knowledge to multiple projects.
Gemini (May 21-Jun 20)
On the heels of an active social cycle that lingers on, you will be happy to lay low and retreat as much as you can as well. Yet, sparks will still be flying so be careful not to fan the flames and escalate the drama.
Cancer (June 21 – Jul 22)
The assertive push of April enters its next phase. A dynamic momentum will not only continue but will escalate in some respects, and the tempo will remain high all month. The excitement will settle down progressively, but not entirely.
Leo (Jul 23-Aug 22)
While the strong Taurean influence this month will find you happy, you will likely also be busy. Fortunately, Mars in Aries will support an enthusiastic and creative determination to be extra creative.
Virgo (Aug 23-Sep 22)
Taurus time tends to be playful and creative for you and this will prove extra true thanks to Mercury and Venus, Jupiter, and Uranus there too. Mars in Aries will amplify your ambitions, measurably.
Libra (Sep 23-Oct 22)
A period of change is underway. Positively, returns from past efforts and investments will be available and increase your ability to make new power moves. With Mars in Aries, be aware that it could leave you feeling impatient and easily agitated.
Scorpio (Oct 23-Nov 21)
Changes on relationship fronts continue to roll in steadily. These could prove quite expensive and financially lucrative too. Mars in Aries will push you to work extra hard, but it will prove worthwhile.
Sagittarius (Nov 22-Dec 21)
Taurus time for you is one of making improvements. With so much planetary emphasis there, you should be prepared to work overtime in this regard. Positively, you will want to, and you could get a lot accomplished.
Capricorn (Dec 22-Jan 19)
Taurus time invites you to step back and see a bigger picture. The time is right to slow down and reflect on matters. With Jupiter and Uranus there, your focus could become quite philosophical and even metaphysical.
Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 18)
Shifts, changes, and opportunities in your public and professional sphere are all in the spotlight this month. You probably yearn to increase your earning power and you could find yourself investing in new skills and tools.
Pisces (Feb 19-Mar 20)
An inventive and innovative cycle is yours to enjoy and harness this month. To succeed, however, you might have to deliberately target inner blocks and resistances that are holding you back from advancing to the next level.
In a Universal 8 Year, April is a 12/3 month – symbolic of breaking old patterns and replacing them with new and updated perspectives and approaches. 12 refers to ‘The Hanged Man’ in the Tarot and is of course also associated with Pisces, the 12th Sign of the Zodiac. It should be noted that the image does not portray an executed person, as with a hanging by the neck. Rather, the hanging is intentional and volitional as with choosing to see the world differently which can be done simply by looking at reality upside down. The results can be quite significant in terms of our usual perspectives. The Hanged Man is associated especially with Neptune, the ruling planet for Pisces.
Pisces, Neptune, and Imagination
If just one word was used to describe the now officially farthest planet Neptune, it would be IMAGINATION, which Albert Einstein famously referred to as “greater than knowledge”. I would certainly agree in many respects, especially when intuition is also involved and the two, imagination and intuition, can be accurately understood, if metaphorically, as twins. When children are supported to embrace their imaginations and intuitions when still very young, they are likely to emerge as much more intelligent adults compared to the memory-oriented education process that over-emphasizes the left brain. I think this is truer in modern school systems, but perhaps not always.
Interestingly, since Pluto has been reclassified as a Dwarf Planet (the first among others), making Neptune the furthest ‘official’ planet, it is quite apropos due to the mystical qualities of Neptune. It lends a mystical theme to the farthest reaches symbolic of other dimensions. In this regard, Pluto’s role symbolizes the transformational process that occurs (or is required) to exist in another dimension with a sense of power and self-control. As it is, doing so might seem like a drug trip as with LSD or Psilocybin, Ayahuasca, or higher doses of Sativa marijuana. I would agree that such substances would be better used deliberately for the sake of spiritual development of the mind to cope in non-linear mind states or dimensions. This is what the ancients would have recognized as ‘true science’ as opposed to the purely physical dimension emphasis, which can be better regarded as ‘material science’.
Astrologically, the big news is the much-discussed Total Solar Eclipse on April 8 and… the conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus on April 20, just hours after the Sun enters Taurus.
Speaking of Uranus….did you know March 13 was the birthday of the discovery of the planet Uranus? I recently did a video all about this, which you can watch here. The deeper implications of the planet Uranus and the sign that it rules (Aquarius), along with the implications of the discovery chart that goes with it (Mach 13, 1781) offer relevant and important insights for our times.
Back to now… the influence of an Eclipse of the Sun (such as on April 8), generally lasts for about six months, but its destined impact can come about much sooner if it activates loaded aspects on a person’s chart. The influence of the conjunction is much longer. Such seed events really mark important turning points that might be effectively said to manifest as permanent changes. However, in terms of its exact cycle, it will last about 14 years! The key points will be when Jupiter is square and then opposing Uranus during this period.
Neptune and Imagination Producing Inspiration or Hysteria
Much of it is a wide-eyed hype surrounding the April 8, 2024, Solar eclipse is laced with wild conspiracy theories. This is not to say that there is no truth in them, however. life is all about interpretation, after all. Yet, the downside of imagination is when it is directly associated with instinct as opposed to intuition. The survival impulses of imagination that instinct implies, can prove helpful, effective, and valuable, but it is also the very thing that causes high levels of speculation that is presented as ‘fact’ and ‘truth’ as opposed to theory and hypothesis.
Regarding knowledge and perception, theoretical perspectives without conclusive speculation and assumption are signs of hysteria and emotional imbalance and should at least be approached with caution. The question to ask is: “how much of what is asserted is fiction or speculation gone wild?” You can explore it further yourself, as there is plenty of talk about it. We will soon know how accurate the various perspectives are and that will prove interesting to reflect upon later.
Hopefully, this eclipse will manifest as the healing impulse that it appears to represent, and the fear-driven sensation will be recognized for what it is. Of course, the result of it will probably prove mixed with some experiencing dramatic challenges perhaps even negatively influencing entire groups of people while many others will be uplifted with sheer elation due to what might be expected by the deeply moving and mystical experience that a Total Solar Eclipse is known to produce in people.
The Bigger Picture for April 2024
In the bigger picture for April, the long-anticipated conjunction between Jupiter and Uranus on April 20 just hours after the Sun enters Taurus indicates an eventful month. The most likely result is less likely to be fantastic events, but rather the disintegration of the social order. Given that Taurus is the sign of foundations and building, this may seem ironic.
Although change and endings can and do often prove difficult for some, it is good to keep in mind that life happens ‘FOR’ us and not ‘TO’ us. This can help to activate your intuitions and protect you from succumbing to your imagination-driven instincts alone.
The Solar Eclipse New Moon in your sign indicates a potent activation. Jupiter and Uranus conjunct in Taurus suggests that its influence will be financial, but it could also serve by altering your priorities.
Taurus (Apr 20-May 20)
Changes in your public and professional life should be evident by now. You may be just in the early stages with seed events only. Yet, these changes could amount to new levels of power or a new career altogether.
Gemini (May 21-Jun 20)
Learning how to let go is a current challenge. Some might describe it as the high side of surrender, which does not imply defeat, just acceptance. The Eclipse is likely to ignite your sense of individuality but focus on keeping the drama mellow.
Cancer (Jun 21-Jul 22)
A full spectrum of triggers is the source of mixed emotions these days. While themes of death linger, returns for past efforts are rolling in. Dreams and ideals are met with misunderstanding and confusion, requiring patience.
Leo (Jul 23-Aug 22)
Seeing the bigger picture includes acquiring new knowledge and perpetuating the momentum. Slowly but surely, what ‘once was’ is melting or undergoing an alchemical process of change. Trust and cooperation are keywords.
Virgo (Aug 23-Sep 22)
This powerful Aries activation is destined to bring about some measurable changes. These may occur externally, but they will also have an inner impact on you. Positively, you will feel liberated from worn-out self-concepts.
Libra (Sep 23-Oct 22)
Change is the law, and it can get big and loud when it is amplified by an Eclipse. Your relationship life is the epicenter of this cycle. Positively, you will experience new beginnings. Your health and lifestyle will also feel the push.
Scorpio (Oct 23-Nov 21)
A lingering creative determination requires an independent resolve. Only you can make yourself take the action you know you want, and perhaps feel the need to take. By mid-month, you will be on a roll.
Sagittarius (Nov 22-Dec 21)
This Aries eclipse could have mixed results for you. On one hand, it could prove creatively inspiring. However, other factors indicate shake-ups in your daily life and circumstances pushing you to acknowledge and confront fears.
Capricorn (Dec 22-Jan 19)
The alignments this month are likely to cause waves close to home. Positively, your energy levels will be running high, and you could experience the first real indications of returns on investments.
Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 18)
Shifts in key aspects of your usual perspectives can be expected over the coming weeks and months, due to the powerful events destined this month. Positively, you will rise to a new level of awareness and confidence.
Pisces (Feb 19-Mar 20)
You may benefit from the events this month, more than most. However, these rewards could also come at a price. Your willingness to obtain new knowledge and the subsequent shift in your usual perspectives is a golden key to success.
In a Universal 8 Year, March is an 11 Master Number Month.
Positively, 11 refers to heightened, creative, and intuitive faculties. Negatively, 11-energy can prove sullen and harshly opinionated. It is always interesting to tune in and observe the numerological influences as well as that of the planets. The fact is that the planets, signs, and numbers share an intimate association.
Numerology can be understood to be foundational to Astrology, if that much more raw and sparse, as it were. Like a blueprint before the construction, numbers are everywhere to be seen, when you are awakened to see them and with a shift of perspective, or two…
For example, you are 1 person with 2 eyes, arms, legs, and so on… (hopefully), and the union of the two naturally produces 3. 4 legs are as obvious as an animal, or table, while magical 5 counts fingers and toes, and makes stars too, which everyone knows. 6 is a whole other category revealing symmetry and flow as with 2, 4, 6, or the recipe of 33 and when it is 1 and 5 that makes 6 you can be sure that it will reveal that it is full of tricks. 7 is straight from heaven as the only number when divided by a circle, that 360 of divine mind without beginning or end that reveals its infinite value while also harboring every number and more. Yet 8 too is infinitely great and powerful in ways that Yin and Yang will loudly attest and 9 is sublime and extra special too with consummate value as all the numbers added bow before its throne.
So, now that you have this inspiration to see the numbers more clearly, focus to put 1 and 1 together to elevate your mind to that of 11 and observe the synchronicities that will surely arise, like right now, for example. Better yet, tune into 11 with deliberate intention to weave the two to 22, like the hemispheres of your brain activated to rise to higher reaches of octave vibration such as 33 aspiring to be or 44 as so much more and 55 as a fun surprise or 66 revealing even more tricks and 77 bringing you even closer to heaven and 88 that makes Taoism great and 99 to see the signatures of the divine mind, everywhere to be seen when you have the eyes to see.
Astrologically:
March begins with 4 planets in Pisces: Sun, Mercury, and Saturn huddled especially close, with Neptune 16+ degrees away, but still in the house.
Meanwhile, Venus and Mars remain close in Aquarius while Pluto also there bestows a hefty presence.
Jupiter conjunct Uranus in late April is building up measurable momentum provoked by Moon in Scorpio.
This suggests that March will prove powerful and intense, so get ready for something of an emotional roller coaster.
The New Moon in Pisces on March 10 will ignite imaginative thinking, but with the hidden Scorpio factor, true to its nature, it could amount to hysteria and dark divisions seeking infamous attention. It is also the day the daylight savings time begins, a whole month earlier than when it used to occur. Positively, the New Moon will inspire visionary perspectives on what is possible in the wake of our rapidly changing times. Yes, the computer age has arrived at which time when AI and robots will play a whole new role, but who are we to blame since their evolution was virtually inevitable from the moment electricity was harnessed?
Of course, the Sun entering Aries time marks, (or is that sparks?)… Spring Equinox – the symbolic sunrise moment when a year is measured as a day. True to the bold reputation of the Dragon, (the sign to which Aries holds close association in that lunar system), Spring will begin early this year as the Sun enters the sign of pioneering initiatives and new beginnings on the evening of March 19!
The chart cast for the exact moment of Spring hosts the Moon in playful if showy and dramatic Leo still closely opposite Pluto in Aquarius which is exact just over 4 hours earlier.
On an interesting side note, March 19 (Spring Equinox) is also ‘International Astrology Day‘!
It is all a feature of the painful, delirious, confusing yet wondrous, miraculous, and divine act of giving birth, which we are collectively doing to a rapidly emerging New Age, era, epoch, or world and global village, as some have aptly described it. What the chart cast for that moment reveals is an impulse to play and gather with friends, or at least to engage in inspirational, creative activities implying that you are your own best friend. This is especially true for the first quarter of the season, or 3 weeks in. It is about that time when things could become considerably more complex for us all which is likely to include social revolution on various fronts in the world, yet with a global impact requiring various degrees of cooperation and moral support, at least.
While not strictly associated, this timeline aligns with the Total Solar Eclipse on April 8 at 19 Aries 24. I will direct more attention to this in the coming weeks and the Horoscope for April 2024.
A cohort of planets moving through Pisces is your cue to lay low for a while. Yet ignition sparks will fly when Mercury and the Moon enter Aries on March 11 followed by the Sun on the 22nd.
Taurus (Apr 20-May 20)
Smooth and slippery Pisces will support you to glide gracefully through winter’s end. Using this opportunity to stimulate key connections will prove wise and you might even be able to take a vacation in between.
Gemini (May 21-Jun 20)
Pisces time can prove to send mixed messages for you. On one hand, circumstances will provoke you to take a lead and shoulder more responsibilities, while on the other hand, the flow is asking you to yield and even surrender.
Cancer (Jun 21-Jul 22)
Seeing a bigger picture is both likely and ideal now. This includes a willingness to adapt to the changing times, whether personal or public. Use your imagination to loosen the grip of your mind and the reaction of your emotions.
Leo (Jul 23-Aug 22)
Whether you realize it or not, you have likely been in a metamorphic process of change since last spring. It has now entered an accelerated phase so tune in and trust the flow with faithful cooperation.
Virgo (Aug 23-Sep 22)
The shifting sands of time have encroached upon your relationship life. This can prove personal but also affect your professional life. Saturn’s presence is both restrictive and disintegrative, yet requires you to persevere with new approaches.
Libra (Sep 23-Oct 22)
Whole health equates to happiness and intrinsic success. Wholesome is the key word, yet it implies the need to take a whole approach. What might this mean for you? Positively, returns for prior efforts are coming in to support you.
Scorpio (Oct 23-Nov 21)
A steady flow of creative inspiration is yours to enjoy currently. This trend will continue for some weeks, yet will require independent initiative and closer than usual attention to the details. Change your perspective and approach to seize the opportunities.
Sagittarius (Nov 22-Dec 21)
Happy to hover close to home will prove stronger early on this month. Yet, the itch to venture out and play will increase steadily, and you will be bubbling with enthusiasm as Spring gets underway. Find opportunity to dive deeply into new wonders.
Capricorn (Dec 22-Jan 19)
Circumstances are stimulating your imagination. Hopefully, it is being a good friend and not an enemy full of fear and worry. To befriend it, find any and every reason to be grateful, if only for being alive in the drama of life, at all.
Aquarius (Jan 20-Feb 18)
New plans and ambitions are beginning to gestate. Last month’s Aquarius New Moon sparked them, and beyond mere reflective intimations, you will soon begin to take new initiatives to activate your confidence levels and shake it up!
Pisces (Feb 19-Mar 20)
The mounting energy in your sign, inspiring bold new initiatives should already be evident. These inspirations will steadily rise, especially with the March 10th Pisces New Moon and the shift to daylight savings time.

Tip of the Month:
In a Universal 8 Year, February is a 1 Month, symbolic of new beginnings. So, get ready for 2024 to really launch. The pace has generally been slow so far, and the fact that January was a Universal 9-Month, the number of endings and completions is testimony to it. But 9 is also symbolic of ‘planting the bulbs’ of longer-term intentions and goals, so you may recognize choices and actions taken that align with that.
The Sun and, of course, Pluto in Aquarius hovering over the critical zero-degree mark is significant indeed.
Mercury will also enter Aquarius on February 4, forming a conjunction with Pluto.
Mars ALSO enters Aquarius on February 13 followed by Venus on the 16th contributing to a 5 planet stellium in the sign of the revolutionary Water Bearer!
Each of these conjunctions marks the start of new cycles anchored by Pluto at 0 Aquarius, which implies future-oriented perspectives, decisions, and actions. (Learn More about Pluto in AquariusHEREin my most recent blogs).
The New Moon in Aquarius occurs on February 9 and equates to Chinese New Year and the reign of the growth-oriented Wood-Dragon. Previous cycles of the Dragon were no less than Y2K and activation of the New Millennium and then the global focus on 2012, marking the official end of 5 rounds of the Mayan Calendar and starting a new 25, 910-year cycle, according to that model.
So, these major events lend a hint at what can be expected in 2024.
The proverbial elephant in the room is the amplification of robotics, AI and digital currencies linked to central banks.
The Jupiter/Uranus conjunction is a further indication of this shift of the global economy to the next phase of our computer age, which is bound to be foundational to modern civilization for centuries to come, if not millennia. The activation of Aquarius by these conjunctions is directly related to the fact that Uranus is its ruling planet. So, each conjunction will transfer its archetypal influence onto Uranus in rapid-fire succession starting on February 4 and will be catapulted by the Wood Dragon New Moon.
Adding to all of this is the fact that February is a Universal 1-Month, the number of new beginnings, and we have clear indications that February is destined to be eventful. Due to the fixed modalities of Aquarius and Taurus, however, the events could prove implosive and tectonic, at least metaphorically, more than major outer initiatives.
That said, the fact that Venus and Mars are closely aligned in Cardinal and action-oriented Capricorn at the time of the February 9th New Moon, suggests that the outer activations that we will see will be directly associated with decisions and actions stemming from official sources like governments, for example. These are likely to include new installations directly on the heels of or replacing old policies and institutional norms altogether.
The pace of the disintegration process of old norms will accelerate as February progresses and the Sun, Venus, and Mercury all enter Pisces. Since the Sun conjunct Pluto at the 29th degree of Capricorn, however, it is also very likely that many will oppose the changes, and governments and the official guards… will be very busy keeping the peace.

Aries (Mar 21-Apr 19)

The 5-planet line-up in your sign will spark new modes of expression, especially after the New Moon. Fortunately, there are indications that your confidence levels are in good shape. Use this dynamic impulse to advance your cause.

A busy time behind the scenes associated with your career and/or public life is indicated this month. The result could manifest as dreams come true. Sharing psychological, spiritual, and/or philosophical insights will bring rewards.

Tip of the Month:
2024 is a Universal 8-Year which can be understood as a time of power, epic events, and testing. Expect themes of ‘succeed or fail’, ‘win or lose’, ‘do or die’, etc… It is a time to really show up and prove one’s worth and value. Final testing or ‘the playoffs’ in sports are examples of 8 energy cycles, in this case referring to 2024.
So, this makes January a Universal 9-month and February will be the first of two Universal 1-months, along with November. As general as it may seem, the synchronicities will be there for anyone paying closer attention.
As a 9-month, January is an excellent time for completing existing projects and momentums and preparing for new initiatives in February. Use this guideline to support your plans and activities as 2024 gets underway.
The year begins with Mercury ‘stationary direct’, which means it would appear to be at a standstill to an attentive observer. Then, on day 1 of 2024, it officially turns direct again, resuming its forward drive with increasing acceleration, as will be true to the pace of 2024. Especially because it is in Sagittarius, the sign of its detriment, this configuration can be likened to awakening to fog obscuring the morning sky, yet which evaporates progressively under the warming sun.
Mercury at 22 and Mars at 27 Sagittarius form a somewhat loose yet still formidable alliance to launch the year. More specifically, Mars at 27 is conjunct the Galactic Center (G.C.), which is 28 degrees Sagittarius. This auspicious alignment lends some needed grace to the overall New Year chart. However, it should be noted that it also contributes to a fiery fervor. Positively, this will manifest as an ardent pursuit of truth and justice in alignment with the higher principal drive of the Jupiter-ruled centaur archer.
Yet, as ever, it depends on how it is handled, and at lower vibrational levels it could manifest as anger and fury. At the higher end, Mars conjunct the G.C. will give rise to the determined drive of a spiritual warrior who is determined to fight the inner battle of divisive and negative perspectives and attitudes that dwell in his own mind and heart, which would otherwise be projected onto others, perpetuating the ever-present illusion of separation in the duality game.
Meanwhile, also on day 1 of 2024, Venus forms a square to Saturn lending a dynamic yet sobering energy pattern, just what the doctor ordered on the day after the night before…
The background to this first day includes a waning Moon in organized and emotionally self-controlled Virgo, that arrives at its last quarter phase on January 4. The exact degree of the egg-shaped Moon forming a lovely applying trine to the Sun betrays a revolutionary mood festering below the surface. The consequence of the pattern will include some rising to fight the invariable imbalances produced by the pendulum’s rhythmic swing of social justice that vies with the ever-present threat of the yoke of tyranny. Meanwhile, it will inspire others to want to escape it all in search of greener pastures and new experiences and opportunities altogether.
Mercury will re-enter Capricorn on January 13, so it will be in Sagittarius at the time of the first New Moon of 2024 on January 11.
This first New Moon of 2024 occurs at 20 Capricorn 44. Interestingly, the Numerology for that day also adds to 11, which is the foundational Master Number and is symbolic of creative thinking, when in its balanced expression. When unbalanced, the synchronicity of an 11 influence can manifest as wildly vacillating confidence levels. Since # 1 is symbolic of new initiatives and # 2 is symbolic of achieving a grounded state of balance, the general interpretation calls for courage to take new leads yet guided by stability and a spirit of service, as opposed to gutsy risk and ambition alone.
With Mars and Pluto both in Capricorn and on either side of the Sun/Moon conjunction, a spirit of ambition is, however, featured. Mercury in Sagittarius lends a spirit of adventure and of philosophy and a principle and truth-oriented aspiration, as well. So, the theme of ambition indicated includes an interest in ethics, morality, and the pursuit of truth.
These foundation stones for the year are signs of a spirited year ahead in which higher principals will vie for attention and influence.
Pluto at the critical 29th degree of Capricorn lends the overall emphasis to the importance of patience, especially in the early weeks of the year.
The Sun enters Aquarius on January 20 followed by Pluto the very same day. This means that the Sun will form a conjunction with Pluto at the 29th degree of Capricorn and they will remain closely conjunct at 0 Aquarius. Technically though, it is the conjunction in Capricorn that is the exact fact and therefore the anchoring theme. The technical fact that the Sun will enter Aquarius first, followed by Pluto, means that the first official conjunction between them will only occur on January 20, 2025! (I will illustrate this fact in the video forecast for January 2024). The implications of this fact are significant, because before we begin to experience the 1-year cycle of Sun Pluto conjunct the Sun at 0 degrees Aquarius, we must first endure the entirety of 2024 with it at 29 Capricorn, due to the specifics of the seed event.
This conjunction of the Sun and Pluto at the critical 29th degree (watch the short video by MichaelHEREand thank you for subscribing to his YouTube channel : ), which implies themes of overcoming, stretches the overall emphasis it brings to encompass the year cycle that this conjunction implies. In other words, any time two planets form a conjunction a new cycle begins between those two planets. The slower of the two serve as the ‘anchor’ while the fast proceeds in its orbital cycle according to its standard duration until it catches up with the slower planet again, effectively bringing the previous cycle to completion and starting a new one.
To understand the deeper story however, the chart must be interpreted. In other words, just like any New Moon, a conjunction between any two planets produces a seed event. That is why there are so many overlapping cycles occurring at any given moment. This is true in the generic sense as with the planets in real-time, or the TRANSITS and, more personally and more importantly on a personal level, therefore, when a transiting planet forms a conjunction with a planet in your Natal Chart.
So, this 29th-degree conjunction is in sync with the strength and character-testing implications of the 8-year, to which 2024 equates. The main message associated with this degree is patient perseverance for the sake of overcoming. This theme will invariably apply at a variety of levels and areas of life, but principle among them will be the challenge of governments and elected officials to contend with public backlash to what appears to be increasing percentages of the population concerned with rampant corruption at the top levels of governments the world over.
The Moon comes to Full in Leo on January 25. We can and should therefore expect things to get extra dramatic and exciting before February begins. This will likely prove true in the financial and economic fabric and status, at not just national but global levels too, thanks in part to the dynamic influence of Uranus in Taurus turning direct and releasing its pent-up energies after months of retrograde motion. Taurus is also symbolic of values and priorities and with its ruling planet Venus in Sagittarius, this will take on a strong emphasis on larger and higher-minded moral ethical concerns and considerations. Due to Uranus’ association with the revolutionary impulse of evolution, directly associated with the economy due to the Taurean influence, and invariably on social and political fronts as well, we can expect that January will serve to set the stage and to establish a momentous pace and tone that will be catapulted in February, and possibly even sooner before the month is out.
