November 29 – December 5, 2024
Tip of the Week:
The New Moon at 9 Sagittarius 32 on December 1 has the distinction of being the first to host the advent of an uninterrupted transit cycle of Pluto through Aquarius. The chart of this New Moon hosts a Fire Grand Trine including Mars in Leo and the North Node of the Moon in Aries. This is an auspicious aspect indicative of assertive heroism based on a larger vision for humanity. However, it also conceals some challenges most evidently indicated by Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius, Jupiter retrograde in Gemini, and Uranus in Taurus.
At worst, these factors can be interpreted as losing sight of the forest for the trees, or feeling lost, injured, overwhelmed and frightened. Positively, even these challenges reveal inner help and clues about what we can, and perhaps must do, to prevail, due to the strong influence of Aquarius.
Together, these hidden helpers suggest that with an orientation to higher-minded vision and awareness, (Sagittarius) the dedication of visionary leaders (Mars/Aries/Leo) and free will, these challenges can be overcome. The strategy required includes healing our sense of identity (Chiron in Aries). In this regard, we need to awaken both to our deeper sense of humanity and to the even deeper realizations of our inherent, spiritual nature, as souls incarnate.
Also in the chart of the December 1 New Moon, the other main issue is indicated by the position of the Black Moon (Lillith) in Libra. Its issues include unconscious conformity, shallow popularity, and people-pleasing, lack of focus, commitment, and resolve to cultivate true intimacy and trust in our closest, personal relationships, (the building blocks of the true strength of civilization).
The ‘Black Moon’ is the hypothetical point that is related to the orbit of the moon around Earth, and it is symbolic of the negative aspects of one’s shadow, or unconscious mode of emotional reaction. Knowing about your own Black Moon in your natal chart can prove helpful in overcoming emotionally-reactive blind spots.
Circling back to the need to awaken both to our deeper sense of humanity as souls incarnate… Upon reflection, it might become clear that negative forces are actively eroding this strength. What do you think we should do about it, beginning with what should you do? Such questions can be accurately placed under the heading of Sagittarius, and also of fire signs in general, which also include Aries and Leo. Yet, it is Sagittarius in its purest, archetypal sense, and not simply how it is embodied in any given person, the sign of the higher mind, the bigger picture, visionary perspectives, principles, ethics and the quest for an ever-greater understanding of the meaning and purpose of life.
Astrology clearly reveals that “good karma” is generated by both progressive self-cultivation in any and every area of our life, and meaningful contributions. So, lack of personal vision and resolve to grow and evolve in maturity, wisdom, and so on, and ego-centric self-indulgence and laziness all amount to “negative karma”. It is not a matter of trying to be perfect, yet it is one of sincerity and a sense of self-respect and purpose. Of course, this extends to our relationship life as well.
Deeper karma yet is associated not simply with not making meaningful contributions, but especially mounts if we deliberately cause harm and injury to others. This is not as simple as hurting another because the relationship did not work out. Existence “knows the score” precisely, and it can hardly be fooled by mind games, denials, self-deceptions, and delusions that often come in the guise of people feeling victimized. Yet, ego-centrism inclines us to project blame and to judge and gossip.
All of the above is the tip of the iceberg of the riddles of perception in duality, which can be basically understood as a hall of mirrors, offering numerous reflections of our projections at any given moment. In their more negative and darker or sinister levels, as the game goes, these misconceptions of perception are used as manipulation tactics. When these are done unconsciously, the behavior can be described as grey and shadowy. Yet, when manipulation tactics are used deliberately, whether at a personal or a collective level, (as with unscrupulous, advertising, public media, politics, and aggressive economic competition in the marketplace), it can be understood as various shades of black, as with black magic.
It’s all part of the game of life in duality, especially on the physical plane, so don’t assume that any political, or spiritual leader or otherwise is going to bring an end to such realities. Thinking so would be a clear testimony to naiveté and ignorance regarding life and spiritual laws. Yet, we can make efforts to activate positive momentums and to make meaningful contributions that do make a difference and do matter. In fact, getting too attached to final outcomes and absolutes aside, doing so is a core feature of the very purpose of the game. After all, the games are a feature of the school, which most acutely describes the inner purpose of existence, or at least life on Earth.
Understanding karmic liabilities and their implications is not common nor is it a given. It does begin with knowledge about karma in the first place. It begins with the understanding that in its purest sense, karma can be translated to mean action or motion. Since everything in the manifest, dualistic universe at every dimensional level, (of which there are many), is the result of motion, which in the subtlest sense equates to energy, vibration, and frequency, existence as a whole can be accurately understood as literally riddled with karma.
Despite unprecedented access to knowledge in our modern world, due to the limitations of the materialistic paradigm, karma is not commonly understood. Instead, notions of pure circumstance and randomness rule the day, at least in the mainstream. While therapists of various kinds may be well-trained to understand, and are empathetic, psychic, and intuitive, gaining a clear understanding of karma remains rare.
Yet, Astrology is probably the best tool available to recognize and even measure it. Some karma is not so much about lack of effort or causing harm to others in the past, specifically in past lives, it is simply a factor associated with where we are on our evolutionary journey. Fortune-telling Astrologers or those purely focused on predicting events and outcomes, often do not know how to see the karma in the chart either. Yet, it is there to be observed and measured by anyone educated to see it. The deeper understanding of what is observed is another matter, however, as is how to best address it and make it understood, and this is where mastery transcends interpretation techniques alone.
Generally, a person will recognize the karma that the chart indicates, but not always, since a lack of self-awareness and denial can get in the way. Or, they may recognize the signs of it, but have operated on feeling victimized or have assumed that it was just a matter of bad luck, poor choices, and limiting circumstances. While these are relevant considerations, negative karma comes out in the wash as missed or intercepted opportunities, or lack of assistance, or even as false accusations, yet which are the consequences of unpaid karmic debts.
So, from the standpoint of both genuine self-honesty and spiritual maturity, approaching an Astrology Reading from the perspective of better understanding your karma will prepare you to enter the session without assumptions or wishful thinking. Positively, understanding any more challenging karma will increase your sense of responsibility and your resolve and will help you understand the reflections of your projections better. Yes, karma and the Law of Attraction are directly related.
Of course, there is also good karma and it too can be measured and observed. So, using it to address the negative is an obvious expression of wisdom. As ever, it comes down to awareness, resolve, and strategy. Yet, even these are features of the greater flow that can be accurately understood as destiny. In turn, destiny implies a plan, or a purpose of deliberate intention, or what can be understood as divine design, the manifestation of which is duality, or what can be described as the divine matrix. Like a blueprint, it is designed with logic, if one that significantly transcends the linear-minded sort, and in turn, it can be traced to a deeper understanding of the word archetypes. Metaphorically, they can be understood as the artistic materials in the studio of God.
Have a great week!

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)
The Sagittarius lunation cycle is destined to inspire new heights of visionary awareness. The dynamic Mars factor will support your resolve. Venus in Capricorn suggests the need for tools or practical methods which include a weave of technology, networking with key people, and creative, critical thinking. You can do it.
Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)
Sagittarius time can prove challenging for your sensual temperament. Fortunately, Venus in Capricorn will help to uplift your spirits with the cozy comforts and intimate bonding that she implies for you. Mars in Leo, however, is pushing you to make the extra efforts to dig deeper than you might usually, for which you will be rewarded.
Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)
Your social scene is getting a big boost. Fortunately, you are in the mood for it too, thanks in part to Mars in Leo amplifying your energy levels. The sweet spot is where culture and tradition merge. In the bigger picture, your willingness to learn and to unlearn as well are important themes these days, so be receptive.
Cancer (Jun 21 – Jul 22)
Health considerations are a cornerstone of life. You may be dealing with issues or least concerns that you are challenged to heed and to not deny or dismiss. So, if your gut is telling you to check in, do it now and avoid procrastination. Doing so will alleviate low-lying stress and its related issues. Investments in health usually bring positive returns.
Leo (Jul 22 – Aug 23)
Sagittarius time is usually one of upliftment and enthusiasm and there are indications that this is especially true this year. Mars in your signs is adding to your determination to take new leads and strides. Other factors indicate the need to give more to people and situations and to keep an open mind regarding the exact methods needed to advance at this time.
Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22)
A boost of optimism and confidence are coming in with this Sagittarius cycle. Professional expansion is indicated, so be deliberate and strategic in this regard. Commitment is ever-important. Currently, it has to do with learning and a willingness to change your approach. At even deeper levels, it has to do with your self-concept.
Libra (Sep 22 – Oct 22)
It may feel as though lights are switching on in your mind. Fresh thoughts and perspectives are both expanding your overall scope of awareness and inspiring creative inspirations. However, your success requires that you both think out of the proverbial box, and break through it too. To shift, think and act differently than you have done traditionally.
Scorpio (Oct 22 – Nov 21)
Sagittarius time is one of building upon new foundations. Yet, the twist is that the best approach is to be willing to discard the existing one. While this may not always be the case, it appears to be this year. Questions regarding the higher versus the lower road are on your mind as well. The main issue is to clearly discern which is which.
Sagittarius (Nov 21 – Dec 21)
The New Moon in your sign indicates social expansion. There are indications that your focus is sharp, yet there is more than one target. This requires concentration and confidence. Fortunately, other factors are helping including Mars in fiery Leo. With it about to turn retrograde, you are probably wise to take an independent lead.
Capricorn (Dec 21 – Jan 19)
A little time out could go a long way, especially now. The call is to think less and pray or meditate more. Too much thinking often leads to analysis, worry, and self-doubt. Your ruling planet Saturn in Pisces, which began 20 months ago and has another 17 months to go, implies some degree of dissolving of the past to make way for the new.
Aquarius (Jan 19 – Feb 19)
The influence of Sagittarius is destined to ignite a sense of adventure and a deepened quest for answers, facts, truths, and solutions. As hopeful and optimistic as you may be, contending with some doubts might be lingering. Yet, you know that you have to pay your dues somehow to build upon new, and to strengthen existing foundations.
Pisces (Feb 19 – Mar 20)
Sagittarius is directly associated with your career and public life in general. The activations to these can begin as early as the Sun enters Sagittarius each year, which is November 21, and another big boost comes with the New Moon. This year, it will activate innovative strategies to usher you to a whole new level.
